You can tell too by the “instant transmission” thing they do to their forehead lol. Woozi’s inner weeb is showing haha
It's also based on the Monkey King! He's a pretty popular character in Korean and chinese folklore and is the 'Sunnogung' u see in the lyrics they're referring to. I'm Chinese so I know him as sunwukong but its the same guy :) there's also alot of cartoons made after him

Everything is so expensive. The set, the traditional outfits, the dancers, and SEVENTEEN. Even the time they conceptualized everything. Applause to everyone involved in the production of SUPER and the entire FML Album.
The mv is inspired by dragon ball. 손오공 (pronounced as Sonogong) means "Son Goku", the main character of dragon ball franchise.
You can also notice the hand choreo where they put their two fingers on their forhead.
I thought Songogong was Sun Wu Kong, the monkey king. Because there is a drama called Hwayugi where the MC is Songogong, the korean version of Wu Kong. Edit: I just found out Son Goku is based on Sun WuKong.
The bass and choreo is Freaken amazing!
son o gong/son wukong actually a hero from lore called "journey to the west", the anime dragon ball also was based on this lore but instead of son o gong they change the name as son goku in the anime

So for this comeback Seventeen have 2 title songs.
Super is basically a performance type of song hence the performance vid kind of mv.
FML is the one that is more sentimental and focused on the vocals.
I believe the MV will also be more cinematic and melancholic.
It feels like they want to show us their duality and their confidence in pulling 2 different kind of concept in one comeback.
They did it very well. So proud of being their fan 🥰
