- In this video, I rebuild the cyllinder on my pneumatic lift table, a Direct Lift product. This is not necessarily a how-to, but how I did it, for entertainment and educational purposes. I obtained my parts for my Direct Lift cylinder rebuild (kit) from the following:

Thank you for making this video, great information and love the humor. 👍
I really appreciate you and your videos. Great information with a down to earth...real you...style of presentation. I also wondered during your explanation of why you use the side extensions, has anyone ever mentioned to you that they can be installed upside down so that they can hold even more s***. Lol. It actually can come in handy at times.
That’s a great idea I hadn’t thought of.
🇬🇧👍. HAPPY CHRISTMAS !!! Congratulations on the 5000 subscribers. Really enjoy your vids and humour. Im across the pond in UK. 🇬🇧👍
Happy holidays! Thanks.
Nice video as always, appreciate your candidness. In aviation, the
"Secret Sauce" is Vaseline and STP oil treatment. We used that for large gear driven fuel pumps. When I finally got my air lift table, I realized I had arrived at supreme motorcycle maintenance. Peace
Neato. Vaseline makes some sense, I can see how that may be used for pumps and such. Cheers.
Enjoyed the video Tom. Hope you and family have a Merry Christmas. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
always things to learn
WOW thanks I need to get a lottery ticket. LOL Thanks !
Please email me your data, motorestofl@gmail.com. Already boxed up and ready. Turns out, the short box the cross slide scale came in for my DRO on the lathe was a perfect size.
I think I would have polished the cylinder to a mirror finish, but I'm probably wrong? Just can't remember last time I saw one that wasn't polished...🙄
I've never seen one so heck, I dunno. It was extremely smooth, no scoring of any kind, I just went over it with 1000 grit and WD50 to break down any crap on the surface if there was any. Was definitely the lubricant. The more I thought about it, especially last night I was chilling watching TH-cam and remembered awhile back, I did shove some other kind of oil into the cylinder, perhaps a couple years ago even; and the thing started screaming, so I deluged it with something, can't remember, perhaps engine oil and it was normal again. Well, maybe not deluged, but I jammed some additional different oil in. I had been using that air oil forever via the air inlet, which clearly participated in the demise of the piston seal. Cheers.
“Aluminium” 🚬🇬🇧
