He deserved better than what he got from his receivers. *SMU should have been driving for the winning score on their last drive of the game, but it wasn't to be partly because Key'Shawn Smith dropped an easy touchdown pass late in the third quarter at **10:54**.* I ain't even an SMU fan and that play had me boiling 🔥hot.
Jaedn Skeete should say "Skeete Skeete Skeete" to the opposing team every time he scores a touchdown next year.
Was at this game The atmosphere was fun. And Castes dive was freaking epic.

They were gonna be screwed from the start when you play in Boston in December at one of the most iconic venues that people will show up to in the rain and to top it all off. You're playing the local college compared to the warmness of Texas yeah, you're about to lose
Running Castellanos so much doesn't say much for the BC coach's opinion of his running backs, other than Robi.

@thomastrain7311 they almost beat FSU. They had some big wins and a lot of injuries. It made for an uneven season. Plus the QB has just gotten his feet wet. He'll be better next year.

If SMU cannot beat Boston College a very mediocre team they are going to have a rough first couple of years in the ACC
BC is a very up and down team. They lost a heart breaker to Florida State but then got blown out by Virginia Tech and Miami when Thomas Castellanos was playing injured. He was back to 100% from bowl rest and his performance showed. Much faster and explosive than he was the last 3 regular season games.
BC almost beat Florida State. They had some bad injuries this year and still won 7 games.

Unfortunately mates, I hate certain universities due to subjects that are upsetting. Religion and Military being 2 of them (Religion isn't bad unless taken too seriously).

Well, that settles it, SMU fans. Liberty deserved the Fiesta Bowl bid more.
I'm a Liberty fan. Don't jump to conclusions about us yet. Theoretically, if SMU loses to Boston College, they would have lost to Oregon. But if we keep it close, or even better yet, win, I'll remember that people were saying that SMU should have had the bid over us.
P.S. I'm not supposed to expect a win at all.

Why does the team with the better record lose to the team with the worse record in most of the bowl games I have watched? Must be because of all the players who aren't playing.
Not necessarily the ACC is a much stronger conference than whatever SMU is in. Tulane got their brains beat in by Virginia Tech and they were ranked also. They lost to SMU in their conference championship game if I’m not mistaken.
@@matthewdunham1689 They would not let Florida State in the playoff because they were not the same team. Most of the teams are not the same team they were. Not a good reason for holding them out.

@genecole2082 BC almost beat FSU. They had more than their fair share of injuries this year. In the major conferences, in the power 5 conferences it is more a war of attrition than top talent that matters. In other words,the better your depth of your roster over a season.

@@Chris-tq1jy Matty Ice is the only NFL player that I know for sure graduated from Boston College. The Eagles had some of their best years with him under center. In all honesty, my initial comment and the original comment don't make sense at all. If Boston College causes an upset, doesn't mean that they have a chance to be good and not bad? Obviously, Boston College didn't have their best year this year, and Matt Ryan did play at a Boston College that was part of the ACC, but since he was drafted at the 2008 NFL Draft and the program joined the ACC in 2005, probably not all his college years were spent in the conference. I think that a better thing for me to say would have been, "Matt Ryan knew when Boston College football was good."
