- Marlins Park is weird as hell, and that's why I like it. As you'll see, it's a tough place for catching home runs on the fly, but there are lots of other nooks and crannies where you can snag baseballs.

I play the ball catching game too. I'm 63. Some of the comments are hard to understand. It's a game. Snagging a game ball is a thrill. Great tutorial dude. I never get in before 530, but my pal (he's 70) and I have a 70% success rate on getting at least one ball. I almost always bring another game ball with me, in case I see some kid really showing a love of the game.
He has the best job in the world. My dream is to go to all 30 stadiums, let alone get a ball at all of them

Dude you should just leave the balls in cup holders around the stadium so when people go to their seats they are surprised with a reward of a ball!

I never understood why the Marlins can’t draw fans. Seems like it would be a great baseball town with all the Caribbean influence/population. Add to that the winning history of the Marlins(2 World Series titles already in their short history). Why can’t they draw?
Justin webb Yeah they won 2 World Series but they haven’t done anything else and the sad part is that the two times they won the World Series are the only two times they went to the playoffs. The owners have been horrible, gutting the team every time they have a chance to be competitive, selling superstar players for pennies on the dollar. Location wise, there’s potential but the team stinks and ownership is probably the worst in MLB. Fans and potential fans aren’t going to support a team when they can’t built a competitive team without fucking it up and just giving up on potential franchise players for very little in compensation if any.

The fanbase is just pathetic, glad I'm a Cubs fan and don't have to deal with their awful team once full of superstars that still couldn't win more than 80 games.

Miguel Yankees have a massive following in Florida especially Tampa where their complex has been for years. The Yankees headquarters have actually been in Tampa since 2005. The franchise went off the deepend with big stein that same year, and his idiot sons got control. Not that George wasn’t an idiot himself, but he at least knew how not to mess it up when he really did have a good thing in 1996 which was a lot of luck but also hiring joe torre although Buck was great also. The team just needed a different voice a calmer one at that point.

I think Marlins Park is awesome. I'm a Red Sox fan so I like classic parks but I also like different ones like Marlins Park.
I loved Marlins Park when I went there. I’ve been to old and new Yankees Stadium, Fenway, & Progressive Field too. Not that many ball parks but in terms of view of the game and freedom to walk around marlins park was the most fun I’ve had. A bottle of water at Fenway was more expensive than my tickets to the marlins game. The only redeeming quality of Fenway is the atmosphere. I had a $4 ticket and got to see Stanton, Ozuna, Yelich, Ichiro, Arenado, Story, Lemahieu, Blackmon, and CarGo. It was a 5-3 game where all the runs were solo home runs. Can’t really beat that.
it was hard not to cry during this video. If you don't know why then you probably live under the biggest rock in the world.

I'm south florida born and raised and I think I've only ever been to two marlins games. If you want to watch a winning Miami team watch the university of miami baseball team. Way cheaper and more exciting.

The worst thing about is what it represents, not the stadium itself or even the team which is not very good anymore. It was built with deception and stealing public money over the same spot the Classic Orange Bowl used to be. It History is a dark shadow over the place despite new ownership recently.

I think if this stadium is built anywhere else in the city. It would be more appreciated than it is...Because it is a marvel that has a CLEAN LOOK and is "Different ".
But the fact that it was built at the "OB" is what makes it hard to warm up too.
The Orange Bowl had a soul to it that was felt all over the country.
The HURRICANES have to now travel 45 mins away for a home football game and that took the spirit off the campus.
It's just sad when politicians make messes of tradition!

I never realized Marlins Park can be used for American football at the college level.
Neyland stadium, Tennessee vols, holds 102,455 while the marlins park holds 37,442. This place is small lol
