      Unless you listen to them from the start im 27 in November and I chose songs for the lyrics just the backing sound the lyrics are the heart and soul of thr song with out them they're not that differant from any other songs

      Obviously she has LOTS of great songs....but imo, this is THE best song she ever made.
      It's so pure....and honest. And not just lyrically. Musically it's SO interesting to me. Real simple...just the basic 1, 4, and 5 chord. That's it. But it ends up transcendent sounding. One of those super rare 100% perfect pop songs that just works on every single level.

    Heres an old school comment for you... working at a house doing a fitting wardrobe back in the 90s and had a cassette player with us in the house on the job and this came on the radio and I shot out the house to the van to grab a tape and recorded this! How times have changed 😉😉😉

    I just cannot stop listening to this song and cannot stop watching Alanis perform. She is such a wonderful personality. I'm a drummer myself and this songs beat just resonates with my soul. I love Gary's style of playing. Love you Alanis. Thank you for this song.

    Every great once in a while, all the stars come in line and everything is perfect for a few minutes. Her vocal, the sound, the raw simple lighting, her expressions, her body language, and just the right amount of adorable awkwardness shining through. You just can't beat this.

    Just watched a documentary about Alanis and ‘Jagged little pill’ and I have to say, I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. I was a mere 10 when Alanis really came into the scene. But man what a time to be alive for music ✌🏻

      I was 11/12 when I first heard her album with my best friend. I didn't understand it all at that age but I loved her sound....and til this day it's an album I can listen to everyday.

    Extremely well written song, never gets old to me. Acceptance of the dark parts of being alive to the point of being thankful for them and the possibility of liberation through the pairing of opposites. Yin/yang, clarity/consequence, the importance of silence emphasized at the end of the chorus. It’s a true work of genius I think.

      I would not go that far but she has a very good voice indeed. I think it would be hard to say Jewel, Florence, and some others are worse though.
