Obviously she has LOTS of great songs....but imo, this is THE best song she ever made. It's so pure....and honest. And not just lyrically. Musically it's SO interesting to me. Real simple...just the basic 1, 4, and 5 chord. That's it. But it ends up transcendent sounding. One of those super rare 100% perfect pop songs that just works on every single level.

Extremely well written song, never gets old to me. Acceptance of the dark parts of being alive to the point of being thankful for them and the possibility of liberation through the pairing of opposites. Yin/yang, clarity/consequence, the importance of silence emphasized at the end of the chorus. It’s a true work of genius I think.

I would not go that far but she has a very good voice indeed. I think it would be hard to say Jewel, Florence, and some others are worse though.
