    For outdoor use do you need a big hole in your wall to pull the USB cable through ?

    Thank you for the video. It covers all what i need to know before take a decision to buy or not. I have only two questions. The videos you have recorded fo examples did you recorded them in 720p or 1080p? thank you.

    Thanks for the review - the video quality of the outside of the garage became woeful once you turned out the garage light at 15:17. No chance of identifying anyone in strong dual light conditions like that. Also the video quality of your backyard seems inconsistent across the scene for 1080p or even 720p with parts of the background scenery on the right side of the view appearing very blurry near the building compared to other parts elsewhere ? Almost like there is some plastic tape still on the lens !

    I saw in the video you had cloud and SD card options. Can you select both or does it have to be one or the other? I ask as I'd imagine most of the time cloud is but if the internet is acting up it'd be good for it to record to both "just in case".

      You can only choose one option

    JP Good review, thanks. When the SD card has filled up what is the process to clear it and restart recording. Is it automatic? Do you need to remove it?

    My 8600 is no good. The motionsensor-system is very unstable. Sometimes it work, and sometimes not. You can land a jumbo-jet in front of this camera without getting any recordings. Dlink also claims your position when configuration. Why. The camera does not communicate good with the mobile. Sometimes you get the pushwarning/sound when motion is detected, sometimes not.

    @19:13 - You can only view video from your smartphone?? ...NOT a PC? Are you sure about that? D-link's "D-ViewCam DCS-100" software has been around forever for D-link Cams. Would find that hard to believe that they stopped support for preventing newer cameras to record to a local server. That would be a deal breaker ...If that is the case. Where did you get that information from?

      Prophonic Sounds LLC I don’t know about this specific camera, but I have the slink app on my phone and I can also view on my pc, so not sure why this one would be different. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me, maybe, but I prefer to be able to use it on both.

    I have this camera and the 8000 and this one is always a problem with recordings not playing back and "clip errors". Disappointing to say the least.

      InvisiMan You might try a different SD card. I haven’t had a problem with this camera, but I know at least twice I’ve had an SD card that failed.

    Thanks for your video.
    When you hit record the video via the app does it record the video to your phone or the memory card in the video camera?

    • @overclockersclub
      @overclockersclub  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just checked and video recorded from the app is stored to your phone.

    • @nickw4332
      @nickw4332 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@overclockersclub Thanks for that. One more question, does the recording have to be due to an event or can you set it up to record to the memory card for a period of time while you are out? Or just let it do a continuous record for however long you want it to (storage space permitting)? Thanks again

    • @overclockersclub
      @overclockersclub  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nickw4332 Event driven. Dumping continuous video would load up the SD card, even a large one. There are cameras that will do that but they usually dump to a NAS (Network Attached Storage) or an NVR (Network Video Recorder). I can check to see which D-Link cameras have that function if you like...
