Who has gone through this experience where they brainstorm what planners they want to use, how they are going to use them and actually stick to what they have planned? What was different?
They had many options for the HONS, however I got the regular Hon cover for 2025 and decorated it with cute little stickers and I could not be more in love.
This is so relatable. This year I experimented with so many planners. I thought I had things figured out for next year, and I don't. I got the weeks for my edc, and the a6 five year. This are the only two that I'm sure about and stuck with my plan. My daily journal, I did a 180 on. This year I'm using the a6 hon and I love the size. For 2025 I got the original and a few covers that I liked. But than I saw a hon that I really liked in people's unboxing. And now I realize I might be a hardcover girly. I think the original is easier to journal with because it lays flat better, but I would like to archive my journals with a pretty cover and the year, it takes up less room on my shelf, and tbh, I don't see my self switching up my covers during the year like I thought I would. So I ordered the hon that I wanted and now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the original that I got and with the covers because I like them and I want to be able to use them. I have couple of zip covers that fit the hon, one of them from the 2025 release is a tight fit, but it does fit, so that's comforting.

I think there are ways to use the extra techo original like a messy log of everything that happened in the day to write it down neatly in the Hon at the end of the week or evening. Brain Dump List, Reading log/journal. A commonplace notebook. I have a video on that on my channel if you want to see that. There is also a media journal such as what movies, books or shows you are watching or listening to. I hope you get to use all your notebooks and that we can have some amazing 2025 memories with them!
Hey! I actually thought long and hard about mine, and decided that this year in terms of planners, I'm going to stick to two for the whole year---the Hobonichi Avec Cousin to be my catch all/ memory keeping, and then the Traveler's Notebook Undated Vertical to have at work. I feel pretty content with that--though this is not including my journals (morning journal, and when needed, a travel journal).

I did think about using a ring binder but I like having everything in a notebook that I can keep on my desk without having to get a binder, paper, etc. For me, a notebook is my comfort place and even though I think Binders are phenomenal to use, they are just not for me but this is a great idea especially with dividers.

Really interested in a brainstorming/braindumping video if you make one! I’m switching to A6 for next year (currently in A5) because of the same thing you mentioned- I want to be more intentional about what I write in my journal instead of braindumping and memory-keeping like I’m currently doing in my A5. Now I’m trying to decide where I should do my braindumping… I did buy an A5 for next year just in case A6 doesn’t work, but I also have a weeks that I use as a planner, however I never really use the notes pages that much, so I could use those for braindumping. Decisions, decisions…
I love the idea of using the weeks as a planner and then using the notes pages for braindumping. Logging the date at the top of the entry and then just write down all your ideas as they come to you! Love it! I will definitely keep the brain-dumping video at the top of my mind to share.
