Engineer, btw, the reason the medic didn't heal you is because you were cloaked; I'm a spy main and I've experienced this a couple of times

I don't know if anyone else said so but medics cant heal cloaked spies, don't worry about learned that the hard way too.

Heads up, at 20:00 you were making fun of the medic for not healing you. Medics cannot heal the spy while he is invisible.

Minor addendum for all these comments - Medic CAN heal cloaked Spies, but ONLY with the Crusader's Crossbow or Amputator (which sometimes has the unintentional side effect of revealing the Spy to the enemy), although it's probable this particular Medic wasn't equipped with either or just didn't know that.
Of course, the Crossbow is much more likely for a Medic to have than the Amputator...

If you’re still interested in playing Spy, I would recommend learning things such as quick disguise (Which will disguise to the class you’ve last chosen with the press of a bind on your keyboard instead of having to swap to the disguise kit everytime), trickstabs (Which can make you backstab enemies easier in one on one situations, although it will require a lot of practice and skill), and stair stabs (You can walk up stairs when enemies are chasing after you and jump backwards as the enemy is going forward to get a backstab, but this will also require practice and will not always work.)
Overall, I am impressed at the fast-paced growth you displayed in this video!
P.S.
(Kunai is not recommended for learning trickstabs. I recommend stock until you have enough confidence to do them along with the Dead Ringer.)

Stairstabs are trickstabs. I would suggest not using kunai dr until you are decently confident, especially with trickstabs, you will get farmed.

@@擻Nothing was said about not chaining- The deadringer does enforce bad habits when paired with the Kunai, because it takes the stealth and mind games out of playing spy to begin with. Playing spy shouldn’t be a comfortable experience.
@@porcupine-girl31 i was just spitting random stuff for shits and giggles, but this combo doesn't really teach you bad habbits, it will make you perform worse but you can actually learn something like using disguises, map navigation.

Man, just a quick look at the comments lets me know I'm not the only medic main here. You know what I'm going to say already, but on top of that medics usually love having a friendly spy as long as they're selecting targets, because if you can get a stab on the enemy medic that gives us an uber advantage. Spy has so little health, and especially with the kunai, healing to full plus overheal only takes a little bit of our attention and gives you a higher chance of getting that sweet stab on the enemy medic.

It's actually really enjoyable to watch someone who's new to TF2 figure things out as they go along. I think most TF2 fans can relate to when they launched the game for the first couple times, having no clue what was going on.
ArJay got better at Spy in a day's worth of time than I have in my roughly 1,100 hours of TF2 as a whole.
I don't remember how much time I have on spy. Between 35 and 50 hours IIRC.

Good luck and remember gaem is gaem. Also a oil spy watch idea that I had was the “translucent traitor which allows for reduced revealing of spy when bumped into and also a slightly larger backstab hotbox, but -10% ammopack refill and -20%cloak on bump
