Gosh, that first line "I hope everyone told me it would be harder" hit me real good, I'm crying now...
When I got into kpop (around 09) I was never really a fan of them, but as many people did, I knew of Beast (and all the 2nd and 3rd gen groups). As a "non-fan" I remember Fiction, and the cultural reset it was.
But when they made their comeback as Highlight I fell in love with them, I guess I had the time to get to know them then.
And even now, after everything they have gone through, they are still together, and they still wish to make good music, and perform with all the love they started with.
I can't imagine the heart breaks they have suffered, and as a fan of many disbanded groups, artists that chaged careers (and forgot about their fandoms), forgoten artist that never recieved the recognition and love the deserved, and yes, artist that I wish would still be here, I have felt a fair share myself.
That's why I'm thankfull for them. And I hope to continue seeing them, and hearing their music. In one sentence, it's healing. Highlight is healing. ❤

Honestly, people don't appreciate Dongwoon enough. Think about it. He's gone ten years being the youngest and being the only one not the same age as the other members. With the loss of their lead vocal, he hella stepped up and now shares chorus parts with Yoseob. And with the loss of their main composer, he composed a song for this album, his first for the four of them. I love him so much 😭

If you with them since debut, you could see how Dongwoonie have growing. From the weakest vocal among the members and not much of line in song distribution to where he is now. 2nd generation kpop groups are called legends because of this. That era where all rounder dance and vocal is the name of the game. And 2nd generation are trained to always sing live. Glad to see Highlight for their 13th year. And PS. The fandom of 2nd gen groups are mostly supportive of one another when these groups comeback.. and i think on their late 20s to early 30s already. We are the OG hallyu fans. Where we stream 360p MVs and fansubbing is the most reveared job of each fandom 😁😁 good old days

I don’t need to imagine, my ultimate group Beast have already done that back in 2017! As a Beauty, I happy for my boys, but also sad seeing what they have to go through, I am glad to see they are stay strong together. Light, let always be here for our Highlight, it will never end for us.

@@charisechua7336 They went to different companies though. While Highlight decided to stay together by establishing their own company after leaving their first company and losing their group name "Beast".
Charise Chua I understand a lot of group me have went through hardship, but I don’t think many can be compare to Highlight, and most group who went through what they went through would have disband.
They leave their old company, established their own new company. They lose trademark to their old name: “BEAST” and even the fans have to change their name from BEAUTY to Light. They lose not one, but two members at different period of their career. They come from a small company and used to be call a recycled group, but they work hard and able to become one of the well respected group in the industry.
No hate to any other groups, I know there are amazing groups out there with great friendship. But this show case the friendship and determination that Highlight have.

I'm Boice and here also witnessing how Beast "Shock" was a BOP 10 years ago. They (in the name of Highlight) still slay in the Kpop Market despite having tough competition by other junior group. Witnessesing my CNBLUE growing into popular K-Band, starting by sweeping the charts in 2010, n bcame the fastest debut group got no. 1 in music shows in bfore Winner broke the records, while me in 2010, stanning many groups including BEAST n finally they got Daesang in 2011 and 2012 with Fiction. What a good old days. Having both groups always bickering abt whose room they used in music shows at last they were just wanna share room together. Since my CNBLUE has released "Then, Now and Forever" last year for their 10years in industry, while I'm here, supporting "I'm still here, It's not the end" which Highlight hve been 12 years in industry. I'm sure previously B2UTY and now Light are proud of them...

The thing I was worried about is, how will this be without any rap parts.. it’s rare to see an idol group without rappers but it actually was amazing and it’ fresh and new in the kpop industry, believe it or not. Loved it!
