I love delta cams, I build turbo honda engines and use his 272 grind he offers for them on all my builds. Cant beat it for the money and the customer service is great Jon is a good guy for sure.
Cam regrinds have many benefits over off the shelf in the sense that your less likely to have been given the wrong Cam or grind. Less variation as well. How often you order a cam but its different when you look at the card. Regrinds reharden the surface to assist with run in so no issues. Only thing to take note of is the geometry can change so you sometimes need to play around with push rods etc.
I had messaged Jon about his regrind delta 272 b series non vtec camshaft not making power. We tested the stock b series non vtec camshaft and it made more power than his delta regrind 272 b series non vtec.

@@maldo72 Interested in your thoughts about the LS7 lifters and the Tick valve springs. I have unknown pac beehive springs and pac titanium retainers, and I think it ran into valve float the other night at the track. Adding the 1.6 roller speedmaster roller rockers, the car did not improve ET or MPH wise.
I think the Tick double Valve spring package from Tick is a killer deal for a stock LT1 head and should be able take anything a street car can throw at it (Note: after having them in my hands their in house retainers at top notch)... I have never had problems LS7 lifters (they were used in my last setup ) (don't buy china knock offs)... I am guessing if you added 1.6 rockers and nothing improved you were probably getting valve float sooner which will not improve et/mph ...
@@maldo72 Funny, I noticed a pop on the first pass as I held out trying to get the motor to struggle bus up to 6200 where the shift light was set at. 2nd and 3rd pass I shifted at ~5600. Basically repeated the first pass. 3rd pass I had plugged in my digital 6AL box to see if it would help. It didn't and the car slowed. My fear of buying LS7 lifters is finding real vs the china knockoffs that are all over Ebay and Amazon.

If you have a dual cam, yes it like either the same price more or less. For my f22a single cam regrind, it is $200 for them to regrind and deliver on my doorstep. Whereas if i went with a bisimoto cam, it’d cost anywhere from $400-$700 for 1 cam.

Ls pr3 pistons made 180 and yes you will need a tune.

For my MGB I am using one of their D9 spec camshafts. Delta has a good rep in the MG community.

Sounds right for a delta rebound cam, spend money with them, make less power if you’re lucky, ruin your engine if you’re less lucky…
