One of the first shows from the fledgling Fox network. I looked forward to this show every week, but I have to admit that at the time, I didn't expect Fox to survive very long.
I was a sixteen year old in my living room very excited for the flying saucer made real story, in fact I was crazy about and praising this Program just for that.. today, 34 years later I just go: sad, sad, sad...
Thankyou for posting this. I've been looking for this episode for many years from when I saw it 1st during the 80s. That opening tune just stuck in my head for years. Thankyou!!! 1988? Man, it's been a long time since then. 32 long years.
Me too! I remember watching this in 88/89. I was a Marine aviation hydraulic/pneumatic technician on F/A-18s stationed at MCAS El Toro. The theme song ear wormed into my head. I’d actually VHS’d the intro just to get the tune. Lost the tape years, but I could always hear it in my head. Over the years I’d try and find who com-owed it. Several years ago I was searching, hoping someone might post an episode on TH-cam. Thing is, I kept searching for Beyond 2000-produced by the ABC about the same time and aired on Discovery. Two days ago I searched again-well, well, Beyond Tomorrow came up! Hearing that theme song brings back memories of optimism in my life. Thanks!
It may also be more difficult to buy a flying car as every 'driver' would need to get a pilot's license in order to be able to take the car into the sky.
@@KnightRider55 The funny thing about it is that there was a newspaper article recently in Oct. 2020 that GM is now taking a serious look at flying cars. Something of an aerial taxi service of sorts. So a flying near future may just happen finally.
I knew i wasn't crazy! I knew I remembered a time in the original series' run when it was called Beyond Tomorrow rather than Beyond 2000
This show aired on Fox on Saturday Nights from 1988-1990.

You're welcome. I have another episode that I am preparing for an upload. That opening tune is definitely good.

Nostalgic
What a shame we aren’t all flying the Moller300 to work!
Thanks! I use to watch Beyond Tomorrow every Saturday Night on Fox 5. Do you have the first episode of Beyond Tomorrow from 1988?
Hi. I have many video tapes left to digitize. If I run across this episode I will upload it online.
@@KnightRider55 Thank You.
You can find that at the Internet Archive, complete with original commercials!
My youth
I think the only reason this hasn't taken off is because the idea of a flying car, or flying saucer seems cool, but it's not all that practical.

@@wiredtvcraze It may happen, but you might need a private pilots license in order to operate one.
