    Make sure the wire connection at the board wasn't bad. I have had the strands in those small wires break and do exactly what your motor was doing. That motor may be fine. Strip the ends a little bit, tin up and try it one more time.

    Thank you VERY MUCH for this video. One of my quads motors was acting similar. I performed the test you showed, and got the same result, so I replaced the motor, and bam, up and running. This is my first quad and I had ordered one extra motor but had no other parts. I ordered the Tinyhawk Freestyle 2, and had done no "tiny" soldering. With the limited tools and knowledge I have (being new to the hobby), this video was EXACTLY what I needed. Really really, thank you.

    Albert, another test I do, is to make sure there is continuity between the 3 cables on the motor, they are attached at he end, and a lot of times is one of the cables that breaks, and most of the time is fixable.
    When the cable breaks and is missing one of the motor facets they behave like you showed at the beginning of the video.

    I had the same thing happen with Armattan Oomph and Racestar and at the same time HGLRC Flame and the Tyro79 motors were fine through much worse abuse.
    Since Eachine usually makes shit so my uneducatedguess is they did quality check by mistake. Someone at the motor factory was so tired that he leaned on that big red lever, the one that says "do not push" and that turned on the quality control machine. That day yield dropped down to 5% and I was lucky to get the surviving motors.

    I have a Love/hate relationship with 4in1 ESCs because of that very problem. I have at least 5 that only function as 3in1s. Last time I tested by swapping, I burned the test motor. At least I used an old 1806. In my case, it's always the ESC.

    Try measuring the resistance and capacitance of each winding as compared to a good motor windings.
    So let’s say phase 1,2,3 measure between
    1-2, 2-3, 1-3. Ohms and Henry’s that may show which winding is off. Just thinking out loud

    Yes it will definitely fly, all motors I believe it will not spin faster than your lowest kv motor, no reason not to fly it. I have mismatched motors on some of my quads. You can attach a drill to the motor shaft, and measure output from all combinations of wires, 1 will be drastically different. Thanks A.K.

    Why does it always seem to be left rear motor (3??) failing on these all in one boards...I love my Emax Tinyhawks but I’ve had three develop the same issue...Emax was cool and after sending them some vids...and confirming that two TH were only a few months old...sent me out two new AIO FC/ESC boards...within two weeks one of the new boards developed same issue?? I’m careful to disarm etc after crashes...pulled the motors they seem to work fine...swapped plugged in motors...board seemed fine...(intermittent e-problems...like a British sports car 😜) ....walked thru possible mishandling by me with their techs (great service btw) ....hell the new board didn’t even touch the grass much...any discussion on others experiences would be enlightening....

    I made the same test and it was a burnt motor and not an esc. I bought another motor and installed it in the previews esc then I open throttle and burnt another motor. It looks that fc cannot handle 4 motors only 3.Why is that?

  • @mtyler2469
    @mtyler2469 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah it'll fly the kv is close enough they are far enough apart it may be hard to tune, depending on the gram force lift. The flight controller handles the balance of the gram force on each motor so it'll speed it up or slow it down accordingly. I ordered the wrong kv of the same motor 3 were 1507 2800kv the one was 1507 4100kv and the pull of that motor was so more more it had one corner jump up for like .2 seconds then flew decent. but 3-3600kv and 1-4100kv didn't even phase the flying characteristics.

    I'm having a simular problem. I crashed my novice 3 and bent a prop shaft and replaced the motor. I tested it in betaflight with props off with no stutter but when i put props on and connect the battery and then arm it i get stutter. When I apply throttle slowly it takes off (uncontrollably) and i have to disarm it to stop it. During bf testing once i got *runaway* flashed on the goggle screen. Can you or anyone that see's this help me figure this out?

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว
