Round of applause for little Shacho! Happy New Year! Here's a little roundup before kicking off the year. Also thanks to Sendai Premium Contents for sending me some new ideas in my usual Tokyo escape!
Oh my goodness!! Your baby became a little person overnight! 😭😭 I'm going to have to add these to my lists of places to see. 🥰 Also I love hearing you speak in Japanese! 🤗 I'm curious to know how you guys are teaching the little ones. Do you focus mostly on speaking to them in English?
Sendai is the best! Stayed there 5-6 days last summer and stopped by Matsushima and Yamadera as well while there! Gyutan and Zunda always hits, and some friendly locals on the street had me join their Friday company Nomikai too haha! 😅
Happy New Year to you too! Sendai has one of the most beautiful Shinto shrines in the country.... well, at least according to my taste and with respect to those I've seen.
As a Vegan who’s always had a love for Japan, I feel like one of these Zen temples would be one of my first stops. 5:30 Zen Buddhism opened me up to the Vegan philosophy, and for that, I’m very grateful.
I’m Japanese, living in NZ (30 yrs). I went vegan (12 yrs ago) mostly because I realized that NZ is such a meat-munching and animal-abusing nation. I find it very ironic that JPN changed from an almost vegetarian to yet another meat-loving nation.
Sendai can make for a great base to visit nearby areas.. including Yamadera and the giant Statue is very impressive too.. Tanabata in Sendai makes for a fun day trip in the summer from Tokyo or near by! Love this vid .. btw the intro looked like you were opening a poop emoji suitcase haha
oh, wow! she is beautiful. It's been forever since you post family things. Have there been challenges with raising your children? I remember in one post if was difficult to go to the park you keep getting stop and people wanted to take picture of your baby girl.
I like all of your content, but my consistent favorites are those that include your family. Shacho is a real cutie, but I'd like to see the male members of your family..at least a little bit.
We live about an hour outside of Sendai and love it. We still haven't really done a lot of touristy stuff there (we moved here a bit under a year ago), but hopefully will as time allows.
Have you or anyone you know ever had to have emergency medical care there? How is the medical system there? I know Mexico’s is pretty much extortion. Just curious about Japan’s. I lived there years ago but we had access to military hospitals back then. Thank you 🙏🏽

As a resident or tourist? With local insurance you only pay 30%co-pay but in general medical services are relatively cheap (within the realm of non-extreme cases). Many people opt to use travel insurance as well. I would say the hardest catch is emergency rooms tend to have business hours, even if they're open they maybe very short staffed and not available to treat. Rule of thumb: avoid anything potentially dangerous during the evening, weekends and especially national holidays. If you are really in a medical emergency, I would call 119 for an ambulance.
Oh wow, she’s gotten so big. She was just born like 2 seconds ago. Lol. Great content as usual 🫡
Tell me about it😭😭❤️
Honestly!!
@@kemushichan for real she is huge now

I actually live in Sendai, so I’m looking forward to whatever is chosen
I know Sendai mostly for Yuzuru Hanyu, the world famous figure skater. #1 reason I wanted to visit😂
Good to see you keeping a posting schedule. Parental life is great, but by no means easy, so it's awesome you still have time to make videos. 😅🙌🏻
Thank you!!!! I'm excited to finally drop the terabyte of videos I've been hoarding 🤩👌
