When I was a little girl my Paster once said...."If Satan is not chasing you, that means he already has you". Lucifer (that is his given name you know.. he really hates it by the way, the Father gave it to him.) Lucifer's only reason to exist is to drag you and me, and Everyone else in this world straight down to hell with him. We all think we are right in our beliefs and actions, but any action or speech that stirs up the tiniest little spark of discord or anger, makes Lucifer sooooo happy. True Christians pray for peace, love, and the end of suffering all over the world. We have to fight Lucifer and his utter hate of humanity every minute of every day. We need your help, and everyone else, to win this fight. For the good of humanity, we must not stand against each other, but side by side.
Sir with all do respect you are incorrect about the 3/5 compromise. The actual language of the constitution in article 1 section 6 says “.....three fifths of all other persons” not “three fifths of a person. At the time the constitution was written Virginia was the most populous state in the Union and had a MASSIVE slave population. Because representation in the National Congress was in part based on population slave holders wanted slaves counted as part of the population for electoral purposes/ to increase their representation and ability to influence national laws. The 3/5 compromise was an ANTI- SLAVERY provision put in by abolitionists designed to keep slave states from using their entire slave population to increase their representation in Congress. By the way attitudes on slavery did influence the verbiage of the constitution which is why James Madison wrote “persons” instead of “slaves” in the above provision; because he hates slavery. It’s also why the constitution allows for, and congress mandated in 1808, the end of the importation of new slaves. The United States did not begin the slave trade in America in 1619, but we did end it in 1808.
With all due respect, if you are going to correct a person's understanding of the Law of the Land, please verify before doing it so as not to mislead Social Justice Guy and those who follow him. The clause appears in Article 1, Section 2, clause 3. It was a taxing and representation issue based on a counting of the population where the slaves of the Southern colonies outweighed that of the slave owners of the Northern colonies by a considerable disproportional margin. The English slave traders sold their African goods more in the South than in the North. The English, not the Americans started the slave trading business in America. “I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think themnot enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.” - Thomas Jefferson
@@ronflick2113 Yes you're correct about the provision I don't know how I got that wrong I must have misread the source I was using. But it is an anti-slavery provision. Most of the slave states/ colonies were in the South at the time. If it was really about keeping southern slave owners from having more representation in the national congress than southern slave owners the 3/5 compromise wouldn't make a difference in that regard because you're still counting 3/5 of EVERYBODY's slaves. Again, it was a provision designed specifically to keep slave states from using their slave populations to gain more representative power and protect slavery at the national level. And yes we're in agreement that the United States did not start the slave trade in America.
You're right that we don't have slavery any more, but I do hope you will watch the rest of the series to see how slavery and other past forms of oppression have led to modern forms of oppression and inequalities that persist to this day. The reason we study the past is to understand our present more clearly so that we can make informed decisions and help those in need. Thanks for watching.
I think that's why they shouldn't burn down the statues, bcuz it's a past to learn from. I think that Africa shouldn't have sold thier people and still do. It's sad.
Thanks for your honest review of this history. Sadly nothing has changed much in the "white" churches, they're still proud of this history, inseparable from their chant: "Make America Great." Not even fearing God's judgement :(
Sad reality but all the more reason to get educated about our past so we don’t repeat it. Now is the time to refine greatness as prosperity for ALL and not just the elite few
We need more teaching like like this and I have so much respect for white people and yes I'm a black man but I would love to sit under your teaching and get the truth about stuff like this I have so much respect for people that teach us
I learned quite a bit of history today. Or at least refreshed. I believe in GOD and Christ Jesus as the only son of God. I don't agree or approve with any slavery. I hate that part of history. Selling and profiting of human beings is so wrong on so many different moral levels. I'm really glad and happy our church welcomes all people who are christians, broken, regardless of color, religion or creed. It's amazing to me how race was so divided back in the 1600's. I believe that every American Citizen have the rights and liberties of the Americas. No one person who is a citizen shall be put to pastor because of different views. If we ALL had the same views and thoughts, how boring we would be. I feel it's healthy for America to have debates or civil discussions. That's why we are unique in the first place. Not like communist countries where you view cannot or will not be viewed, heard or discussed. I love my freedoms and will NOT live in a socialist or communist COUNTRY. I don't like our Country being divided the way it is right now. History takes place every day, even this division and civil unrest created to gain in political parties. Thank you for today's history lesson. I look forward to the next 6.

I don’t think you really know what socialism and communism are. America is very much not free.
The white church? So, protestant heretic?
You need to go back to school....and learn truth..
