    Some residents of the ancient City of Kano have spoken up over the recent dethronement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and the installation of Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano by the state governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
    During separate interviews with Legit tv correspondent in Kano, the residents were divided over the recent incident which has drawn widespread criticism of the governor and the manner of the dethronement.
    They shed more light on events that happened in the state before the eventual removal of the now former Emir of Kano.

    The dark guy on white is very sick in the head and confused. He really needs to go make his research on Sanusi Lamido stand on Government policies in kano state. Sanusi was a man filled with integrity, He said his truth and you know it is very hard for the wicked to accept the truth.

      Not surprising! You can guess the guy's inability to reason as a result of poor level of education. The guy exhibits gross stupidity. That's the whole problem of the North, the very one Sanusi is fighting against : Lack of Education, hence the inability of the populace to analyze and have a clear understanding of their own situation and be less prone to political manipulation.

    As a southerner i am ashamed of the comments here by some Southerners, the residents (Kanolites) responding to the comments have a right to their opinions. Yes they have accent, but i clearly understood what they were talking about...that's the whole point of speaking, the ability to communicate. Some complained about their accent, is there any Nigerian without an accent? Born and raised? Nonsense.

    I thought the position of an Emir or Imam was a religious position and based on the decision of the religious group who know better their leaders. Bringing politicians to appoint and dismiss an Emir is a constitutional mistake and must be reviewed
