Love this even, Jeff's a nice dude, got to chat with him a few times, I was told about him by a mutual friend when he was a teenager, great young angler.👊
I’m still not a fan of no nets allowed! It doesn’t make sense. It’s ok to boat flip a bass and have it bounce off the carpet and everything that’s in the boat , or endanger an angler to get hooked! IMO a net is the safest avenue for both the angler and the fish. To me there is NO legit argument to argue otherwise. The best compromise in most landing scenarios is to NET the damn fish!!!
It makes for a better show. Some fish get lost at the boat and add some drama. They're trying to get more viewers. As far as danger, a hook in the hand isn't going to kill anyone. I wouldn't call lipping a fish "dangerous".
@@hellyeah2299 I guess you’ve never had a fish burry a hook deep in your hand before? Or try to boat flip a bass and have the bait come out with a loaded rod flying back at you? Again, we all have our opinions! To me there’s no legit argument against nets! Overall better for the fish and safer for the angler!
It’s a professional sport. None of these guys are worried about hooking themselves. And using a net just looks stupid and it takes half of the skill out of it.
@@jcfishingwrld OK, then we’ll take the angler out of the scenario! And you bring up that it is a Professional sport which I TOTALLY agree with! There’s never been so many eyes that can watch the sport LIVE as there is currently! We all want to have the best scenario for the bass to survive the process of a tournament process. There’s no doubt there’s a % of a mortality rate with a tournament process. IMO a net would, in many cases, help a fish from getting beat up as much! Yes, many would use a slime coat argument! Well look at how much slime coat is being removed from a fish when it’s flopped on the carpet along with it being beat to hell flopping around everywhere in the boat! As a professional sport fish care should be taken care of in a professional manner! People may not like MLF/BPT for their format, but at least they are trying to promote fish care with their not net rule. Yes, fish fall off into the boat at times, but that’s the exception not the norm with MLF/BPT. So, with taking the angler out of the picture, I just feel more needs to be enforced regarding fish care. With the 5 fish format with the fish being brought into a weigh in, I feel netting a fish generally would help a fish survive the process.
Steve Kennedy is no doubt one of the best anglers out there that doesn’t get the notoriety nor sponsorship that he deserves!
Doesn’t win enough..He is one of the best though ..he’s like a Gerald swindle but better
He does not like sponsors
100 percent. Dude is an absolute pro and doesn’t get enough love.

Zona is a national treasure and should be protected at all costs
The River Grant's Army was NAMED FOR. The one my own family fought in. We got to TN in 1640.
