  • Well I decided since on my last cold start videos everyone was complaining I didn’t use my block heater that I would make a video of with the block heater so you can see how much better it starts with the block heater.
If you want to see more videos of this truck and other great content please like and subscribe. More videos are coming this winter!

Man that thing looks so much better now that it has proper headlights in it! Nice truck!

It's so funny seeing cold starts and people talking about using block heaters. I start my old lb7 in -40 with the block heater plugged in. My last lb7 would start at -30 not being plugged in. Now that's a cold start........

Your truck sounds really good! That's so amazing how diesel engines really work in that kind of cold.

PB blaster silicone lube spray on the moving parts of your steps might help. I also spray it on the door seals and In the window tracks

You can set the settings so your seat warmers turn in automatically when you use keyless start

I have yet to find my block heater cord. I’ve checked every place that I have found on you tube or internet. (2018 3500 Denali Dually). Don’t need it here in Louisiana but I would like to find it.

If I don't drive my truck for 2 days the engine wont start. 57 degrees outside (37k miles on 2016 Duramax ) I have to jump start, should I plug in a block heater?

    • @abramspearman9046

1duramax that probably won’t help, try replacing the batteries and go from there

Amps didn't deploy. This is exactly why I hate overly mechanical external components like that. Destined to fail! That's why I'll stick with good 'ol nerf bars.

I noticed you Minnesota plates in your video. I’m in North Branch Minnesota. I bought a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LML 6.6L Duramax with 134,800 miles on it. I’m going to install the lift pump on it and hopefully that fuel system saver on the CP4 fuel pump when it becomes available sometime around 2/15/2022. This is my 1st Diesel, l always had the 6.0L gas. I wanted more power for towing my 2017 Jeep Wrangler JK General Patton Edition around. Thanks for your response, I thought leaving it plugged in when starting in the morning would help it to warm up faster.
