Morrissey doesn't receive enough credit for his live vocals. He's always been fantastic when performing, but many of the live Smith performances rival the actual vocal recordings.
I think that’s because he speaks mostly with the rhythm almost don’t even consider it singing that’s why I’m so good at singing Smiths songs because it’s not difficult I mean I’m not saying he’s not a good vocalist I’m just saying they’re easy songs to sing comparatively speaking to other music for instance Chris Cornell or something like that it’s very hard to sing along to Chris Cornell you know what I’m saying but it’s very easy to sing along with Morrissey or Anthony Kiedis
@@brashballs More people need to realize that. Still, that doesn't make Morrissey any less talented, he's just not the typical technical vocalist. On the other hand - Chris Cornell sounded atrocious live sometimes. He set the bar so high with his studio work that he couldn't do justice to his own songs.
As melodic and perfect as it is dark and haunting. It’s hard for me to watch these old performances because of all that has been lost from that bygone era of music when the Smiths crashed down on the scene like a radiant bolt. So powerful, so dazzling and gone so quickly.
