Man... One of my Idols..... So glad he's getting some new light on a major project..... Well deserved and long overdue..... Top 5 all time hip hop producer..... Icon 👑👑💯
I love Epmd and Def Squad and the Hit Squad!!! ❤❤❤❤ great interview!!! Erick Sermon is one of my favorite emcees/producer!! And Redman is my all time favorites!! Erick mentioned the dynamic duo’s album on Drink Champs!!! I can’t wait to buy it!!!
When you think of Hip Hop as a whole what’s the first Label that comes to mind DEF JAM All day. They was like the Show Time Lakers in the 80s The Bulls in the the 90s the undisputed Motown of HipHop
This was auch a dope interview.. E Double E is a legendary producer from a legendary group nothing more can be said except I wish people knew exactly how many hits he actually has under his belt.. Salute Bottleg Kev for educating the new generation on a living legend.
Thanks for this particular podcast episode. We were raised on epmd and the rest of the moguls of the time. It's always good to hear folks being active in their field w the longevity they have had.
Jazze Pha did his thing on the Biggie Duets, and the production he did on 2Pacs album come on "Fair Exchange" U Can Call Me". Yeah Jazze on 2Pacs Better Dayz album was dope the whole album was fire.
You meant Stretch Armstrong right?😂 Said Neal Armstrong 😂. Great interview. I was yelling at my phone in the beginning there was rap and you finally mentioned it. Good memories
This wasn't a bad interview, especially when our O.G started talking about italy. It just feels lit, when you really pay attention to what he's saying as well as the way it was said. Not to mention the fact there's countless jewels dropped in this episode. SALUTE 👑💯
“The green eyed bandit shuts it down quickly takin care of business since strictly”!!!! 😤 Salute to E Double!! He’s contributed so much to the Hip Hop culture he doesn’t get enough praise!! Legendary! Bout to go spin Double or Nothing 🔥🔥🔥
As a 80’s baby EPMD was a staple. For an east coast duo to have that sonic sound sampling the same west coast samples back then instead of the typical jazz and blues that the east coast was doin at that time. Then when Erick Sermon went solo and for me put out Double or Nothing. I think that’s when he figured out that Erick Sermon sound for producing other artist wanted. I know No Pressure was good also💯. So much history I can write but you guys can get where I’m going with this! The man is by far one of the best producers ever. Glad to be a 80s baby!! Can’t wait for this duo compilation!!!!! But I swear I saw metro boomin post that he wanted to work with the old school artist and do the same concept?? Who is first to come up with the idea??? I’m goin with Erick Sermon but even though Metro Boomin is a dope producer I think Hit-Boy will be more successful with an idea like this. The man is too universal with his beats. Like Hit Boy said from the boom bap to the 808s he got it💯
Dope a$$ interview.. E Serm is a freakin GENIUS!! I put a lot of cats I know onto EPMD and Redman once I saw they had NWA in their PAYBACK video .. I was already writing to K Solo shyt, and hearing that Sermon shyt was stupid... I was THAT dude reading the shout out credits, and who produced what.. E's name was EVERYWHERE!! "FOCUS", featuring DJ QUIK and XZIBIT, gets played in the Rango every other day.. "DO-RE-MI" with LL and SCARFACE, the same.. Been playin the Salt n Pepa joint lately.. That shyt ride!! I bought DEF JAM FIGHT cause of E Serm.. fr One of the dopest to ever do it. 💯 SALUTE
GREAT INTERVIEW!!!! E-DUB is such knowledged about his ART. I like it when he said "I was NEVER BROKE!" hahahah Yeah E we see you! I love because he's saying he's not bitter about what he's saying! Love you E-Dub! Hope you come to South Africa someday. Peace Kev! OnELOVE
People sleep on camp lo as a duo. They had the best in and out rhyme flow ever. Geechi Suede will do 2 bars and Sonny Cheeba will slide in and do 2 bars and they just rotate in and out flawless and effortlessly
This was a great ass interview …. I really just became a E fan within the last year and I never knew the work he put in … A1 shit …. Definitely a legend … I’m even listening to EPMD now …. Crazy …. I wish I was been on it 🎉
Had to pause the interview to go watch the How High video… such a classic.. that’s crazy cus you can hear their bars are just rapping that hardcore and E Dub produced it into a classic.
Truthfully, I don't think I've ever met anyone in real life who ever even heard of Insomnia, I got a physical copy. Granted I'm only 31 but still, no one knows most of them tracks. Glad to see it get mentioned.
Great interview. EPMD are trend setters. They blew up the Gilligan hats with the hi top Nike bubbles and Sergio terchinni suits. WITH THE RAKIM, BIG DADDY KANE ROPES. Wait a minute and the Samurai Suzuki
Roger Troutman had us open for hit squad in 1991at UD Arena and a riot broke out because Parrish threw up a certain sign at some Q Dog's from Central State University...it was wild...
Somebody tell Eric he is a legend and could get Bad vs Evil if he just asked Royce and EM i Guarantee they both would love to have a Green Eye Bandit Beat.
my mother didn't want me to have parental advisory tapes when I was 8, my father left me at his house one weekend I snooped in his drawer and found business as usual, which I really wanted. I took it. he never said a word. years later, I mean decades, I figured out he was going to give it to me anyway.
dope af. I like them all equally except mr bozack, who's booty, and anything after the fourth record. once I grew up those couple songs became redundant.

When you think of Hip Hop as a whole what’s the first Label that comes to mind DEF JAM All day. They was like the Show Time Lakers in the 80s The Bulls in the the 90s the undisputed Motown of HipHop
I'm looking forward to Y3. It gives me that nostalgic feeling of anticipating a new Wu solo back in the days. 😊
This was auch a dope interview.. E Double E is a legendary producer from a legendary group nothing more can be said except I wish people knew exactly how many hits he actually has under his belt.. Salute Bottleg Kev for educating the new generation on a living legend.

A legitimate legend! I wish the youth and the PEOPLE would wake up and take our freedom back to real hip-hop culture
I hope he drops em in sets of 4 songs at a time. 20 songs at once would be too much for me to handle 😮.
