I think the biggest thing they can do to boost work orders is making people able to order stuff from other expansions, not just DF. There IS a transmog community out there and pieces that are BOP for crafting professions. It can be a lot of work and good to level an alt and the alt's profession just to get a few pieces of BOP transmog, not to mention obtaining some BOP materials needed.
@@UltimateGamerCC That's the point innit? They have recipes, they have skill to perform them. They can sell that to other people this way. So if i decide to go for a old school tbc look on a rogue for example, i can have engineer craft me engi googles from swp, and someone else craft me a chest and gloves.
I would love this as I have so many old patterns, between 80-100% of those available, (excluding Dragonflight ones, but that's another story) yet very rarely use them. I'm slowly going through all the old ones I have collected & gathering or buying the mats to create them. Sometimes I remember to double the mats and create any nice looking ones for the AH, but I have over 200 unsold items on my Crafted Tmog Banker as customers are rare (but not non-existent). I sell 1 or 2 pieces a month, so it would be nice to have more customers for them.
The problem with the work orders isn't being unable to specify quality. The problem is on the crafting side, that they [work orders] are more or less required to level the professions. The problem is that it is so expensive to craft items that (due to quality) no one wants...yet crafters are dependent on doing to to get to the point that they can. This ultimately leaves it so only a few people (typically those who have a guild funneling them mats) effectively lock down the market.

Is this guy just pushing high commission requests? There are never any “similar orders” in the window to look at for reference either.

I'm a JC jeweler and I gotta agree. I have a network of gemcutters I refer people to, and my customers gave me input of what specialties to level next that are in short supply.
Gotta say, the optional events are probably the best part of Dragonflight. This brings it up to, what, 3 now? Dragonbane Keep, Soup, and now the Primalist Tomorrow stuff. Which is nice, considering how World Quests have been neutered. It's nice to have *something* to do on the map after you've spent 30 minutes doing all the World Quests, then having to wait 3-4 days for them to turn over.
I like Primal Storms a lot, but when it started, there was one dragon rare that had WAY too much health, like a whole digit too much or so, took an eternity to kill him, and I feel like they did the same mistake with the one boss I encountered in the primalist future event - there were like 30 people hitting it for, I kid you not, 15-20 minutes to bring it down... maybe the scaling is off, or that intern who messes up all the time gave it another digit too much health, but it really takes the joy out of a fight when you see your bloodlust debuff come off cooldown in an open world event.
@@Knokkelman There seems to be a *ton* of scaling issues. I tried to take an alt through a BfA dungeon, Waycrest Manor. At level 33, the bosses had 186k health and were so difficult that we had to give up on the burning man boss simply because we couldn't kill him before the healer was OOM and his fire AoEs when removing his debuff would just kill everyone. And even the first boss, the glutton dude, took like 10 solid minutes of fighting to kill. Meanwhile, running through Legion Timewalking, the bosses (scaled to level 47) had around 160k health.
Was thinking about this as I was at the gym. I rather consumables I use all the time have different qualities and the armor be a set amount. The armor is the one that feels bad to get at lower then top level and having to hope the crafter your talking to can do it without to many recrafts.
That idea of quality pertaining to multicraft... brilliant. Right now, multicraft is only considered for the lower materials--like, no one is looking to multicraft a Primalist Gem (which you stupidly can)--and it would be nice to see quality, especially the lowest quality which is currently immediately forgotten as 2-star mats become the norm, really matter for your crafting needs.
Taliesin's thoughts on how to improve the public order system mirror what I'd been saying as well. I was actually surprised when I finally saw the crafting order system for the first time at how much was still able to go onto the AH.
Top tier cuts to Evi during the not couch bit 😂 Definitely felt like a kid telling their mom how their day went with Tali’s work order story. Y’all are adorable
To be fair with FFXIV, the entire reason the playerbase doesn't get mad at things ending up on mogstation that were once in game unlocks is because the mogstation becomes the *only* way to get them as new rewards come along every holiday in the previous rewards stead. Allowing a softening on FOMO altogether, as well as allowing new players to have access to legacy content that they've missed out on.
It's still an in game shop but I see where you're coming from. The hypocrisy is when people get mad solely because the in game shop mounts exist in the first place no matter where they originally came from in one game and deny it happening in others
….Evi’d “glory to all dragons” actually is a great idea for factions that follow/worship dragons in a D&D game…I feel pretty dumb for not thinking of that xD
For heal potions there is around a 30k health return between lowest & highest quality. Taking potions/runes off the AH would be an issue. Can't tell you how many times I've summoned my bruto & a mailbox for groups/raids/pugs who needed last minute items or for those who burned what they had & wanted to pick up more.
I'll let this be known right now. I will literally fly from Ruby Life Pools to Valdrakken using the FP. You think Flying all the way up there using all my vigor and doing the Up down swoops to maximize each flap? No sir, ride me up yonder Vaknai!
there is a little problem with that public-personal order problem though. the entire Twisting Nether - EU server has a neck crafted by one of the 3 JCs that had obtained the recipe on the first week. No other guy can gain something from it now. Those 3 dudes are rich, and they get richer every day.
You mentioned how good players will actively seek out the good crafters who can guarantee there stuff at high quality and its very much true among us mythic raiders. I know players who made friends with crafters and add them to their friendlists so they can contact them directly if they ever need. On the illidan server alone, there was a blacksmith discordd where people organized to set prices and specialize in certain areas where people lacked so they could fill the niche in the market. A lot of us can name a crafter or two by there name so they now have real reputation on the server
I've almost maxed out all my renowns, I raid once a week and I don't pvp....so now I have Mythic+ as my sole content. I do hope they keep up the content
well if M+ is your content then you have the same content for a while yet, but on Season 2's launch, you'll have 4 new dungeons to learn as well as 4 old dungeons to reacquainted with.
Man quality on consumables is like the biggest thing I like in the expansion, because maybe with it flasks/potions/phials can stay at the same relative level of power as they are in the first patch and it doesn't just slide into a minor 1% bump by the end of the expansion like it always does.
The grey/white items being able to be transmogged is simply amazing! As someone who dislikes the over the top weapons and armour, this pleases me greatly.
Fellow scribe here. One thing I notice with customers is that while I may have 45% proc chance for pentagold off-hands, they start to doubt my stats if we're on an unlucky recraft streak. To actually show what proc chance I have with finishing reagents and consumables (so Pounce and Sagacious Incense) would be of huge benefit. I have also noticed scenarios where I with an inspiration proc am able to jump from tri-gold all the way to pentagold quality on profession tools, something that the UI does not tell me (it only says quadiamond, although clearly tells me that the skill I have plus the skill from inspiration is enough for pentagold). Overall I am very positive to the new crafting system. I feel like an actual crafter for once. To help people get their gear, the customer contact and relations I've all of a sudden gained, etc. It is a new experience for me and I thoroughly enjoy it. Getting whispers about items I can't craft? Well, I redirect them to someone I know can help them out. Knowing certain reagents are very expensive at highest quality? Well, test around with lower quality mats and inform the customers how we can obtain the quality they want with as cheap reagents as possible! Like... I have a scheduled craft for the upcoming reset with a player that was immensely happy to find me being able to craft the item they want.
7:29 I wonder if they will add transmogging armor types that aren't BIS for a class (cloth-only classes aside). Like cloth for hunter or mail for paladin. They're equippable but not transmoggable, what sense does that even make?
The sense it makes is that your way would force any serious transmog collector to do so on a plate class to get all available appearances that drop in a raid or whatever you're farming. It would be more efficient, but it would also really suck.
The other issue with specifying minimum quality on public orders is...well, the same issue with specifying minimum quality on personal/guild orders: a lot of the time the only realistic way to get max rank on higher level pieces (or the only way without using a bunch of time-gated reagents) is an inspiration proc, and you can't even fill an order if you can't guarantee the specified quality. Meaning that all those pentagold public orders are just going to sit around unfilled and not actually helping customers or crafters.
for public orders, there just isn't enough things to make. with sparks being extremly limited. It makes so many people have to complete for it. Were crafted armor only to require sparks above say 389 item level? or just below normal raid level? Maybe then we'd see more folks wanting to gear their alts up. to match up with WQ level rewards.
when Hopium (aka a gas) turns into straight facts (aka a solid), the term i would use is *_De-sublimation_* (or Re-) since when solid things turn directly into thin air it's called Sublimation.
I really like the idea of the trading post! It gives me a reason to play more outside the simple lust for power. I've wanted something like this for years. Great idea and hopefully I get to enjoy it. I think the Catalyst is a little late but meh I have more than one game to play. Curious to see where Blizzard goes with it next.
That intro was a really good bit hahaha. I actually take flight masters all the time so that I can go take a piss or warm something up and or hit my bong!
I am among the ones that feeds flightmasters everyday, I feel lazy to fly on dragonriding and alt+tabbing to do something else. So yeah, glad to have nice flight paths.
I make very little gold with herbalism and alchemy this expansion. The most common herb is hochenblume and they only sell for 2g. A lot of potions have to be made thru the crafting orders but like you said, no orders.
After a few weeks of being frustrated by the weekly quest to fill 3 work orders - there were never any to fill - I figured out the "real" purpose of the work order system. It's for making 3 orders a week for your alts. :-)
The sofa bit could now be called the "Background Sofa bit" or the "Sofa in shot bit". You're welcome. Also, putting Evi down as a 4 gem crafter in the AH list was just uncalled for Tali. 😂
Hey, I'm also an Inscriptionist (Scribe?)! And I specialize in the very lucrative Darkmoon Deck trinkets which means I have fulfilled exactly... 0 work orders. Oh well, I love my trinket. ^^;
Loved the intro. Toss a coin to your windmaster...oh, wrong game but never mind. I'm still a bit baffled with profs tbh. I keep sending work orders between alts just to complete the weekly quest for them. None of it's particularly clear, for instance that 30 points in botany for herbalism will let you herb while mounted. That sort of info should be blindingly obvious in-game and not something we learn from streamers/TH-camrs. The lighting in the office looks great btw.
lol, I still use flight masters a lot. I live Dragon Riding, but my favourite thing about new expansions is that you can’t fly at first, and have to use your ground mounts to explore and take in everything, dragon riding is fun, but I did use my ground mounts and flight masters a lot just as a way to look at the art assets.
The profession system is finally worth a damn. I love what they've done with it. I think the crafting order system could be better, certainly, but the professions themselves? Fantastic.
I completely agree with the minimum quality would be the simplest fix, but that it would take a certain something out of the game. Before DF, I'd never heard of the player that I've gotten my lariat made and upgraded from. They were recommended by a guildie and I've interacted with them a few times. And people have reached out to me several times because I'm one of the few BS who've specialized in large plate, and people have come to me several times to craft and recraft legs, chests, and shields. It's nice!
The problem with work orders is when I open the tab I have to click on every individual item to see if there is a work order for it. If anything has a work order it should be moved to the very top or maybe only show items that have workorders
As an alchemist, making the potions a set effect value (probably need a basic and higher value for some like health and mana) and having better mats add to multi craft seems perfect. I quickly got to where I was always making quality 3 health and mana even with the lowest quality mats. Big multi craft procs already get my brain making the happy chemicals, so let’s have more of that.
The only main change I'd love to see in work orders is the ability to request items from prior expacs. Let us craft those old transmogs for people who want em via the work order system.
Not going to lie...I have stayed subscribed to your channel, but I haven't played WoW in about two years. I moved over to FFXIV and will probably never go back to WoW. But I am so glad you guys are still making videos and being so funny!
One solution I have: Make AI orders. A few pop up every day only for you to see, modest tips, with chances of orders that will up your skill level. Perhaps clone existing orders out there. That way every day you have a chance to skill up or make gold just by logging in and utilizing the craft page. I think this is in line with WoW. A tangent would be I'd also add a catologue like the adventure page, giving a UI to explore what interesting things you can only get on the crafting system. (You CAN indivually search it, but how many people are engaging with it like that?) One missue with making more mundane things orders instead of auctionable: If you make potions public order crafts, it may feel kind of lame to use one of your four daily public orders to fulfill it. But I agree in concept to encouraging players to explore and familiarize themselves with orders over just using the AH (I had to stumble onto so much and google to learn about for the special crafting only gems...and also they can't be re-crafted, making them a nightmare to do in public orders currently due to the quality issues)
I laughed way too hard at "we may need flight masters in the next expansion and if they're all gone, who wants to be on the ground!?" And the main profession making any gold is enchanting.
That was an amazing intro! The full documentary/interview feel and the random "unintentional" shade getting thrown around, spot on. For my part, I am going to try to take at least one flight every week.

This GENUINELY made me want to donate to flight masters lol. Such a good opening.
Awesome vid! Really love the intro :)
Your ideas regarding the crafting order system are really good I think.
Taliesin's thoughts on how to improve the public order system mirror what I'd been saying as well. I was actually surprised when I finally saw the crafting order system for the first time at how much was still able to go onto the AH.
I really hope the devs watch your videos, I love your ideas for work orders and hope they make them that way.
Is that Brother Death???? Very cool
Top tier cuts to Evi during the not couch bit 😂 Definitely felt like a kid telling their mom how their day went with Tali’s work order story. Y’all are adorable
That intro! 10/10
Great intro !!! well done
I won the case and bundle, I'm super excited eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🥰
Loved the intro and many happy rl gz's for your birthday this weekend 😊
To be fair with FFXIV, the entire reason the playerbase doesn't get mad at things ending up on mogstation that were once in game unlocks is because the mogstation becomes the *only* way to get them as new rewards come along every holiday in the previous rewards stead. Allowing a softening on FOMO altogether, as well as allowing new players to have access to legacy content that they've missed out on.
It's still an in game shop but I see where you're coming from. The hypocrisy is when people get mad solely because the in game shop mounts exist in the first place no matter where they originally came from in one game and deny it happening in others
OOOKkk! The flight masters intro was absolutely epic! 🤣
Dunno who the new guy was in the intro but he's bloody hot!
there is a little problem with that public-personal order problem though. the entire Twisting Nether - EU server has a neck crafted by one of the 3 JCs that had obtained the recipe on the first week. No other guy can gain something from it now. Those 3 dudes are rich, and they get richer every day.
Just did the storm's fury event on my main on my lunch break. dropping the little flame items while doing the boss helped out a lot.
18:47 FFXIV doesn't rotate out items already on the store to my knowledge, only puts them in after an event or promo (sometimes) ends.
You're crafting ideas are amazing! I want them to implement it
The grey/white items being able to be transmogged is simply amazing!
The bit about the 500 extra tendies.... Had me absolutely rolling. Lol.
I LOVE that POLYBIUS Arcade, such a neat reference... I really feel old now, thanks 🧡
These Tali sound effects crack me up, Happy Birthday Tali!
Welcome to the monthly reset! 😊 j/k love you guys, this intro was gold! Cheers
"I know of a flight master that was so desperate he became a frost mage, poor bastard". As a frost mage main, that kinda hit hard...
The intro music to the 10.05 is freaking hilarious ♥️♥️♥️ love your sense of humor Tali
Woot! Birthday buddies!! Happy early birthday Taliesin, I hope you have an amazing weekend!
for public orders, there just isn't enough things to make. with sparks being extremly limited.
One of the best intros in a very long time! Good video.
Best skit yet. Mr Gm was like" I'll do the video but I'm busy so I'm not gonna log"
I just love that professions finally feel like they have a use again
I did my part and used a fly master today.
Best intro you guys have ever done, bravo!
I make very little gold with herbalism and alchemy this expansion. The most common herb is hochenblume and they only sell for 2g. A lot of potions have to be made thru the crafting orders but like you said, no orders.
Happy pre-birthday! Mine is Saturday! Woo aquariums!
After a few weeks of being frustrated by the weekly quest to fill 3 work orders - there were never any to fill - I figured out the "real" purpose of the work order system. It's for making 3 orders a week for your alts. :-)
Can't believe you got TVs Huw Novelli for this week's intro 😮
The sofa bit could now be called the "Background Sofa bit" or the "Sofa in shot bit". You're welcome.
Also, putting Evi down as a 4 gem crafter in the AH list was just uncalled for Tali. 😂
Best intro in a long, long time! Also, "5 copper per pixel" was hilarious.
Sad my scam "win" didn't get me a consolation prize. Great vid guys! Welcome back and happy new year!
Hey, I'm also an Inscriptionist (Scribe?)! And I specialize in the very lucrative Darkmoon Deck trinkets which means I have fulfilled exactly... 0 work orders. Oh well, I love my trinket. ^^;
This new Rabbit mount was made for me, I was born in the Year of the Rabbit, and my favorite color is Blue.
lol, I still use flight masters a lot. I live Dragon Riding, but my favourite thing about new expansions is that you can’t fly at first, and have to use your ground mounts to explore and take in everything, dragon riding is fun, but I did use my ground mounts and flight masters a lot just as a way to look at the art assets.
Yeah, guys, that was your best intro of all time. Well done!
The profession system is finally worth a damn. I love what they've done with it. I think the crafting order system could be better, certainly, but the professions themselves? Fantastic.
Finally y'all are back❤️
Great intro, love the Polybius arcade machine!
No, i still remember shadowlands and the huge amount of money the flightmasters did. I mean.... they would have savings
Love the couple bit at then ending, if you put that first and the FM last the over-all rating is a M+
That intro was A+!
Oh that shot at frost mages in that hilarious intro. Ouch, that hurt as a frost mage main. (At least until I get my rogue geared.)
Whenever Tali did the "singing" i cracked up haha
That intro was awesome!
Im in tears with the flight master intro LOL,
One solution I have: Make AI orders. (You CAN indivually search it, but how many people are engaging with it like that?)
One missue with making more mundane things orders instead of auctionable: If you make potions public order crafts, it may feel kind of lame to use one of your four daily public orders to fulfill it. But I agree in concept to encouraging players to explore and familiarize themselves with orders over just using the AH (I had to stumble onto so much and google to learn about for the special crafting only gems...and also they can't be re-crafted, making them a nightmare to do in public orders currently due to the quality issues)
Haha I still use the flightmasters, to give them a little treat. Your brother is precious.
I laughed way too hard at "we may need flight masters in the next expansion and if they're all gone, who wants to be on the ground!?" And the main profession making any gold is enchanting.
