    In today's video we're taking some CD's and trying out a few different things with them. Can you make cool art with them? What happens when you put them in a microwave? Can you blow bubbles with them? Can you make a DIY hovercraft? Is there a way to fix a scratched CD?

    • @JarodMoonchild1975
      @JarodMoonchild1975 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@dissodatore No, "records" as you call it, is not making a comeback. And it's better if you say 'Vinyl', cos technically, even a CD is a record, it comes from the word 'recording', you know. But neither format is making a comeback, and the upswing noticed for Vinyl, is cos millenial hipsters deemed it as cool, while people like me, almost grew up with all formats. Cos technically, the cassette came out before I was born, I believe, pretty sure it did. But cassettes and Vinyl, were both a thing, when I started getting into music, and I still have kept my original cassettes and Vinyl, that survived. (Cos vinyl was a bit fragile, to say the least.) But when CD's came out, I preferred that. So obviously, I have more CD's (About 100+) than Vinyl, (About 5 Albums) and cassettes. (About 20 cassettes) I actually have the original cassette (AKA Tape.) of the original first album of Rick Astley, featuring 'Never Gonna Give You Up", lololololol. (Does that count as a "rickroll"?) 😆

When you buy stuff now days where you download a copy you always don't have it a couple years later... like the computer or device you had it on breaks or you downloaded it on a subscription to something you are no longer subscribed to... having an actual physical object is so much better.

    So, I know this is an older video but I've watched three times and I just remembered a story to do with DVD's (or CD's).
    When I was younger, my dad used to put lots of things on DVD's, like recordings, music, films, etc. but I never knew how. All I saw was him writing the names on then and voila! Whatever was on there started playing in the CD player, DVD player or whatever he used depending what was on the disk. So, for years I thought all you had to do was write what you wanted on the disk and it would work. Genuinely.
