If Inglis and 8+ imports are ok so is a NSW side with 1 or 2 token selections. They been playing each other since 1908. NSW owns every record. All the good ones at least. @@boganbob2708 Arthur Beetson, Kerry Boustead, Rod Reddy, Rod Morris, Steve Rodgers and John Lang all played in the last interstate games in 1980 for NSW but would have been Queenslanders under the current rules. All in the starting 13 too, so just under half of the starting 13 were Queenslanders.
@@bensantowski467 Rubbish. For Starters you mentioned 6 players which isn't half a squad of 15 like you claimed. Second, they didn't all line up in the same side at the same time and Arthur Beetson never even played that year. So you can take 3 of those out of any one side.
Here is a list of players that played for QLD in 1980 series who were imports. Norm Carr, Ross Hendrick, Jay Hoffman, Ray Kelly, Con Mirrinan, Peter McWhirter, Geoff Naylor, Mick Neil, Alan Power, Willie Tarry.
QLD had more imports back then and now. But admittedly that was for an entire series too. Not one game. Nothing like the 8+ per side you see in QLD Origin sides though. Like I said, rep footy was more representative in the past then it is since Origin.

This was a young Thurston & young Cam Smith as well running the side too good honestly a team of all stars

A lot of legends were made this origin series....did not know pierce had been playing this long.
totally forgotten that Scott prince broke his arm. thurston as chief play maker did amazing.
Prince held his own too before he went out, but Thurston was definitely the MVP.

@@madlad8629 Why do you limit claims to partial records of origin? Why only call half a record a record in Old? NSW doesn't have to do that. No squinting, no neglecting. No ignoring most of the historical rep records. Old club games count on old players stats. Old Internationals still count on a players stats. And so does Interstate games played since 1908. Even a wiki search of any old rep player shows these games in rep stats the same as origin. Just because you weren't alive to go see one doesn't mean it doesn't exist my friend

I'm talking about the real thing! The one and only, undisputable, undeniable, undefeated, overall, record of records. They belong to NSW. All of them! Including 21 years in a row. Here's some more reality. The same group of players were part of winning 11 consecutive premierships and entrenching Au at No1. But since 2005 we slipped to 2nd a few times, then 4th. Past legend and immortals helped entrench and defend that No1 position and were undeniable legends of all levels in the world for their time. That hasn't happened since 2005 no matter what the media sell you about modern Aussie champions.

I can't blame you though. You're just eating what the sponsors/media give you to sell a product I suppose. Get back to me with a real record. Not a partial one. They have been playing rep footy against each other since 1908. NSW owns all the records. All the good ones at least. A TV contract doesn't change that. Sorry for your loss.
