There is nothing like a motivational video that helps you to realign with your true purpose and to discover what really drives you to achieve your goals. For my 2 millionth subscriber video, I decided to do a video to showcase what drives me and keeps me climbing up my mountain. Of course, my family and faith push me to be my best, even when I feel as if I have given my best. Beyond that however is the inspiration that I gain from the men and women who follow this channel and have been inspired to climb their mountain…however difficult and challenging it may be.
To you, I dedicate this video. I have attached the script from my speech here so that you can read it and let the words sink in. It may just change your outlook on how you approach life. What may seem like an insurmountable mountain could be simply a hill that needs you to plod up and over it. The key is, never stop fighting and never stop climbing.
Each day, when you wake up, you are presented with a choice.
A choice to either climb the mountain that lies in front of you or stand
at the bottom and wonder what the view looks like from the top.
    You see…
Your mountain can come in many forms.
Maybe it’s that job you’ve always wanted, or it’s that body you’ve been talking about getting.
No matter what it is, I can guarantee you one thing they all will have in common.
And that is, effort will be required, no…demanded of you, if you want to achieve them!
The motivation to climb? That’s individual. That’s personal.
Is it your family, pride? Finally doing something you SAID you were going to do?
It doesn’t matter WHAT it is. It matters that you have SOMETHING that drives you and you can IDENTIFY it.
Most mountains can’t be climbed alone.
Those that climb the highest are both pushed towards the summit by those behind them, pulled up by those ahead of them.
Inspired by the courage of those beside them.
Now, I’m not arguing the comfort and security that comes from staying at the bottom
of your mountain. After all, it’s easy to focus on all the reasons not to climb…to
focus on how high, how steep, or how rugged the terrain is instead of concentrating
on how amazing the world (your world) could actually look from the top.
But will this always be left to just your imagination?
The faster you realize that all that separates your imagination from reality is simply taking
that foot and putting it in front of the other, feeling the earth with every step. Living! Conquering
your mountain…the sooner greatness and great things await you.
And if you decide not to climb. Don’t tell me it’s because you’ve somehow convinced yourself that you don’t have a mountain to climb. No. You just never looked up to see it! You never looked up for fear that you might actually be inspired to try and climb it!
The irony is that the truly successful accept that their summit can never fully be reached.
Conquer one mountain, and they find another…taller, steeper one to take it’s place. Because
You see, It’s not about reaching the top that matters…but that you are reaching for the
    top every single day!
If you are fired up after watching and are ready to dedicate the next 90 days to getting in the best shape of your life, I can get you there. Head to athleanx.com and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System. Start training like an athlete and surprise yourself of what you have been capable of all along had you just dedicated your focus and effort to doing so.

About a year and a half ago I had a serious mountain bike crash resulting in a traumatic brain injury and a stroke. There was a time where I could not walk or process basic information, so I've spent the last 17 months building my life together. It's been a hell of a climb but I was recently able to run a spartan race and even get registered for college. Your videos have inspired me to push myself to get to where I am now.

If you're struggling with calories don't shy away from fats. Eat lots of avocados, add olive oil & butter to everything(more olive oil, less butter) and eat nuts for snacks. Don't forget protein drinks with full fat milk.

Thank you Jeff! 49 year old single dad here that's in better AND STRONGER shape now than when I was in my 20's. I've always had a pretty clean diet and have kept the "middle-age spread" from attacking my mid section. But my overall fitness was lacking, my muscle mass was declining and my strength was in the toilet! It didn't take me long to figure out that I was only doing a half-hearted job on my workouts and that was going to half to change. I didn't deadlift, I didn't do squats and i was really only doing execises that I liked and kept me looking half way decent. Today I'm pounding out all the exercises that I used to hate and as a result I'm back to giving piggy-back rides to my daughter and enjoying life to my fullest. Thanks for the push in each of the videos, and for keeping the science in the workouts.

I have been working out for about a month and a half. Exercise causes my gout to flair up to the point where I now take painkillers as part of my morning supplement routine. It makes an already steep mountain that much steeper but I notice the benefits. I look in the mirror and think is that really my body? Did I really just curl 50lb? Did I just run 4 miles today, yesterday and will I tomorrow? The answer is yes. Nobody can do this for me. They can support me and they can push me but it's down to me to get off my ass, get up early, eat a good breakfast, take nutritious food to work then absolutely smash it in the gym. I have an illness that will eventually kill me. Neither I nor the doctors can stop that happening but I ain't going down without a fight.

ATHLEAN-X™ The last 1.5 years has been a rollercoaster to me. 1.r years ago I lost my best friend and that got me devastated. I would not talk to anyone and sometimes i was crying for no reason. I didnt want to go to the university or the gym and i lost most of fhe mass achieved in the last 2 years and actually gained 12kg of fat. ( i used to be 64kg at 1.80m height). 5 mothns ago I said thats it and all this would change. But 2 months into my new routine, something happened. My tattoo needed to be done for the second time( its a tattoo that i made last year that says "until we meet again" and shows 2 shallows). After it was finished my shoulder was pretty much fucked up and its been like that ever since. I can not do anything 3 months now and i have tried so many things. Now i am doing ozon therapy so my body will release all that inflammation but until now nothing has really changed and being like this 3 mothns now, being forced to stay at home, not being able to workout, litterally kills me.. thats all i think of everyday and this video made me burst into tears.. Thank you so much for the motivation, it keeps me alive every time..

Thank you for the motivation. I live next to a park which is a top of a valley that had very nice paved and dirt trails. the trail by my house is 250 meters to the bottom. 6 years ago when I weighed 105 pounds more than I do now and my blood pressure while not terrible was 138 over 88 I was faced with a decision of change my diet and exercise or look forward to eventually being hypertensive.
So I walked the trail every day. At first I had to stop at the bottom and rest so I could make it back up the 250 meters to the top..
6 years later I now run the trail 3 days a week and walk it the other 3 but with a 150 lb weight vest added on,

This video has inspired me in a way no other video has. I've had many mountains to climb, with many things holding me back. Childhood trauma has held me back, a negative father has held me back, several conditions affecting my health held me back. And Ive done so only by turning weakness into strength. I was on my biggest climb yet; Mental health and physical fitness. It was a great start, my mood was great and negativity was becoming a thing of the past, a non-existent aspect of my life. Nobody but God by my side and the pain was worth it! But laziness sure enough crept in and was undoubtedly amplified by weed and alcohol. My climb stopped. Gym activity dwindled to a halt. Shame and depression set in.
Around that time, a year ago, I came across Jeff and Athlean-X and was motivated to pick the ball up with my own bodyweight training program that went on for 5 months; things were looking up... But I made the worst mistake of my life.. More serious drugs came in the picture. Coke, benzos, bad stuff.. laziness came back with a vengeance and every major problem I've faced head-on came back to viciously haunt me, a problem that was thankfully short-lived and lasted 6 months. I got a good glimpse of that hardship, and I don't want to see it ever again. I wish all the strength possible to anyone fighting that particular battle! I managed to drop all of the drugs for the sake of a better life. Been clean off of everything but alcohol for a month now.
That drop threw me down to the bottom and I've been looking up at where I was ever since, every hurdle I jumped looks like mountains on top of mountain, but this video got it's point through well. Only one climb matters the most and that's health and fitness. It'll only happen a couple steps at a time and I can no longer go at it alone.
Jeff, upload by upload, your videos continue to inspire me towards greatness! I've spent too much time looking down and back when the focus is up and ahead, and happy to know this at the age of 21! When my funds are back in order I'm ditching the gym program I haven't attended in a year and signing up for Athlean-X, cuz yours is the one that matters! You're a great man pushing people to do great things in a way only you can

    Hello Jeff!
Randomly stumbled upon your channel while searching for work out advice. Unlike a lot of other TH-camrs, you're the real deal. You're a pro athlete / physical therapist. You're extremely educated, you know what you're talking about and you're not trying to sell some over priced bull shit product(s). I started lifting about a year ago, and I've seen very little results. Im not where I want to be, but the small progress I've made is better than nothing. I clicked the link and was surprised to see your program was less than $100 and had no monthly fees or bullshit. I'll be trying out your program very soon. (Just waiting to get paid. Lol) I'm extremely excited and can't wait to get started. Thanks for everything you do Jeff. I for one appreciate all your advice.

I never comment on the videos you put forth Jeff but this one was something special. Not to take anything away from what you put out there but this had that extra something to it. Being a college kid with a lot to build toward each and every day this connects. My twin brother and I have been following Athlean-X for the last 3-4 years and you put it all out there each and every day. You don't make excuses. You don't sugarcoat anything. There aren't many like you. My mountain is to find passion in my life for something the way you do. I know that is a hard mountain to climb but every day I must grind it out and keep going strong. Thank you Jeff. It's time for me to get to my Athlean-X workout now. Hopefully one day in the future I can be fortunate to shake your hand because as a man you are second to none. Hope the twins are doing well.

Too many times I've followed "instructional" videos and got nowhere. Your videos are so informative and inspiring as the Markers come out in force and your style of teaching is great. I love your "No nonsense Cut this shit" attitude both for nutrition and exercising. .I have been studying the techniques you have demonstrated and used them both at the gym and at home for about 3 weeks now and seen more results than ever before. I need to lose weight so do you recommend training In muscle groups or full body workouts?

    • @winkypanda5130
      @winkypanda5130 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Anthony_IsLit well bro. start with full body workouts if your new to working out but keep it short and effective. once you build some momentum go on working out special muscle groups.also remember proper nutrition is 80% of your training. watch all of jeffs videos to learn as much as possible also watch picturefit. keep going man. consistency is key. as for me I have chest, back and biseps one day and legs , shoulders, triceps and a bit of ab work the other and I just keep repeating that .also employing all of the techniques in jeffs video. as for cardio I play hardcore basketball and also some cycling , smimming , stair running . I don't do all of them at once but take turns every day.that way you are not bored and the body does not adapt. good luck.yeah I talk a lot.

Great message! It's not how far you've come, but how far you're willing to continue moving forward. Thanks Jeff! Firm believer in this Mantra.

I'm disappointed. I was hoping "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus would be playing in the background

I'm 21 years old and use to play sports pretty much every day. I played basketball in highschool and had dreams of playing in college. People always told me I would be an amazing basketball player. I just loved sports and started to work out and saw progress. My life was going great.....But 6 months ago I was diagnosed with M.S. I couldn't play sports anymore, I couldn't walk straight sometimes, my basketball dream was over. But I started watching athlean x and it really motivated me. I'm now back at the gym and I've decided not to let M.S. take my life over. I will fight it, I will beat it, and I will come out better than ever. THANKS JEFF!!

After tipping the scale at over 290 I decided to make changes. I got down to 254 on my own, however knew I needed more. Ordered L1 AthleanX program and started on Monday. Still early days however loving the program. I promised my boys I would get my health back. With my drive, discipline and the AthleanX team, I know I will reach my goals and beyond
