The FT2 copied the Vapor line and the FT4 Pro are just obnoxious. We need a stealthed out skate with minimal accents and branding. The sleek look of the skate would do all the marketing for them.
I live within 30 minutes drive of Scotiabank Area (home of the Leafs). I love that I watch a British guy for gear reviews. New FT4's look sick.... 80's vibe.
FT2 for sure, I’m not 100% sold the FT4 is massive enough of an improvement over the FT2 other then the toe cap. And btw all my FT2s from 2020-2021 came with the orthomove inserts not the standard foam ones.
I just got my new FT4 Pro Total Customs ordered today with a chromed out design and thin profile tongue, hopefully the graphics on the skate look a little less bold with silver vs. red
From what I’ve heard, the FT3 Pro is better, but also a lot less durable. If you wanted to wait for a little bit, you can probably find FT3 Pro sticks for much less then a Geo because the FT4 is coming soon meaning the FT3 will be put on clearance
I have to admit that, as a Vapor guy, I was hurting with the Step Steel buy out. Thankfully Bladetech is amazing. But, I was thinking about going back to Jetspeeds. The FT2's with the powerfoot insert, my Speedplate 2.0's, and some BladeTech runners may be the way I go. I can't stand the new look lol.
I have last years AS3 and the tongue system is terrible. The way it affects the forefoot height/volume with a stiff plastic ridge has been a problem for many including myself. Upon inspection of these new Jetspeeds… they’re slightly improved this year. CCM must have retreated on the design from last year a little but the system still may be an issue for those with high forefoot feet.
im more in the love with the laces than the whole skate, but ft4 wins in such a good contrast of colors instead of having all the colors even and spaced out through the whole boot
Well I’m going to throw my 10cents in and say I prefer the Look of the FT4 as it’s already been said that the FT2 looks similar to others including my FT1 so going all out with a bold Red looks cool to me on the FT4 and let’s everyone know what your wearing😜Plus the Step Steel upgrade can only be another feather in the cap. My only thought is where’s the FT3🤔
They skipped the FT3 line of skates and protective so all their new Jetspeed releases line up in name with the sticks. The FT4 Pro stick should be coming out this year so now everything will be in the FT4 family

I still need a set of Runners for my FT1’s I’ve recently bought in good Nick but with TUUK lightspeed edge Holders fitted but I’m not sure if I can get the Step Blacksteel anymore to fit the TUUK Bauer quick release holders. I’m too old to be playing anymore at 56 but I’ve got to have decent skates and blades as you get used to them after all the years I’ve been skating and playing since 1977. (I also Still have my 4 other pairs of Vintage Skates👍)
Bauer must’ve done really well for CCM to also get onboard with the fit profile idea
CCM must have done really well to patent their ONE piece technology so Bauer can’t use it… 🤷♂️😂😂

FT4 design is superior and it makes sense from a branding standpoint in the NHL. Bold, clear & clean.
The FT4 pro design is way too loud. The massive ccm logo with the red isn’t a great look.

Ft2 looks way better. The new CCM designs are perfect example of designing for the sake of designing. Rather than sticking with the beauty.
I have no issues with bold branding but in this case the new design feels unbalanced. Perhaps a bit too much white...?
