Technique makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE with devacurl. Esp.with type 4. They have some products that provide amazing moisture but a lot of the negative videos I see is due to not using it properly.
I've got a large unopened bottle of Melt Into Moisture and half a bottle of No Poo Original and I'm now afraid to use them because of some of those negative reviews 😕
Desi Lake I recommend you check out the TH-camr “Cracking the Curl Code with the Curl Ninja.” She is a licensed cosmetologist who was an avid Deva Curl user and recommended the products to her clients. She began experiencing issues similar to yours and has done some investigating and she eventually stopped using Deva Curl products.
Hey sis, great video. Love it. One thing though, water soluble doesn't mean that it needs water to be activated, what it means is that if a specific ingredient is water soluble then it can be dissolved in water. In cosmetic chemistry if we are trying to dissolve or incorporate an ingredient once we know that an ingredient is water or oil soluble then we know what phase the ingredient can be added to (the water phase or oil phase). Sending love x
Hey! Look at those popping curls. There’s a possibility that some ingredients have changed, because Lorraine Massey sold Devacurl back in 2013. With that being said, people’s complaints about hair loss may actually be legit. I used to use the Devacurl line maybe about 15 years ago, and I never had any problems whatsoever. Devacurl started me off on my natural hair journey. Btw, Devachan is pronounced “Deva-shon”. Thanks for the video💯👍🤗💜.
Nice video. I was a bit curious about this brand because i only see it work for looser curls. Plus my 4c hair (AND MY POCKETS😂) likes more natural things, like butters and stuff. i think I'll give the pre poo a try since i currently am on the lookout for something other than african black soap that can clean, but not strip my hair.
I need a product that is going to give me good definition on a twist out or braid out. Yesterday I spent time on my hair & my definition today was a fail.
I wet my hair with rosemary water. Oiled my scalp with Mielle rosemary mint. Then I made some beautiful chunky twist with Créme of Nature Pure Honey curl activator which I absolutely love the way it softens my hair. I let air dry & this morning pure definition but excellent volume.

RIGHT! Alot of people say it doesn't work on their hair but aren't using it correctly. Technique makes a hugeee difference with their products.

I think the biggest thing with these products is technique. It took me about three washes/ wash and go attempts to get it “right” but give it a try!
I should have been clearer. Negative as in hair falling out in patches, really bad shedding and extremely dry

Ooh noo. What did you use? and did you allow the style to fully dry after applying product?

You’ll find that with Miche Beauty💯. Your twist and braid outs will look💥💥🔥🔥.
