It's the curse of Wicked Witch even though 2 different stories. With The Wizard of Oz The Movie came out, so many people were afraid of the Wicked Witch since she was green and always nasty. But when Wicked came out and got more attention as a musical, people said they'll never look at the Wicked Witch as scary and mean ever again.
Margaret Hamilton says the "I'll get You my Pretty and your Little Dog too" the best. Roseanne is funny in saying it but I'm use to to the Magaret Hamilton version.
If it was Wicked, the catfight would happen after Dorothy and the Munchkins left. The fight in the musical was on the other side of the house by the cornfield.
@Frenchiebleu22 Actually, the role of the WWotW was written as a comedic role in the RSC version of the show. It's a little different from the movie as far as songs, dialogue and characters go. All 4 actresses who were a part of the MSG production (Roseanne, Eartha Kitt, JoAne Worley, Lilane Montevecchi) played the characters comically because that's how it was written in this adaption.
@@TheJFish94 I remember watch the wizard of oz with my family it was fantastic and a wonderful journey andventure in Oz I wish I had my new red ruby slippers for my 24th birthday.
My guess is that there is a munchkin with another pair (the real pair) of slippers and when dorothy stood behind glinda's big froofy dress, the munchkin snuck on the slippers.
after the wicked witch of the west says, I'll get you my pretty, and you're little dog too, she exits the way she came, but she goes towards the doors and then all of a sudden, after the lights go dark then come back on, with the smoke, she's gone. did she go thru the doors like when she entered, or was there a trap door?
That’s actually sort of similar to the 1939 film how when she leaves the smoke comes up to early but the only difference here as she goes through a door not a trap door
not to be mean but i think your like the only one who feels that way lol... however i do enjoy the silver shoes but not as much as i love the ruby slippers...
you can tell the production crew were such big oz fans even down to the smoke coming in early for the witch
Omg. I loved this!! THE WITCH GOT SASS! XD
Laugh it up Glinda! XD!

I love the sliver slippers (1900) more then the 1939 Ruby slippers
Listen to all the crying kids after the witch came out! XD
Danny's Domain they may be crying now, but six years later when Wicked comes along, oh they'll see her in a different light.

who has a clearer shot of this show
@gnostic2030
The reason they were ruby was because it was the first color film
It was not the first colour film at all.
you have to think for once, L. Frank Baum wrote it in 1900 and at the time silver and gold where the most valuble.
Wizard of oz munchkin girls stared fight
