Cool looking VW in good shape. Thanks for sharing. I imagine that it was sold shortly after this video was posted. One thing that surprised me was the orientation of the windshield wipers, aren't they reversed? The way they are would leave a good portion of the windshield on the driver's side unwiped. Usually on cars, they are the other way around to clear the top left corner of the windshield to provide a better view for the driver. This leads me to believe that this VW Beetle was meant to have the steering wheel on the right side...

Great looking old bug!! Better than my 1974 standard beam suspension and aspirated 1600 AK engine, German made but, still luv it!!

I take it. This was one of the few passenger vehicles of this error that still had vent windows.

Also I don't know why they didn't put those dashboard types in. Those looked a lot better and more modern. Those Mexican beetles seem like it was going backwards with the design of the dash. I like also how the ones with the dash had those analog clocks on the left side. Just neato cars.

They say to not buy one of those Mexican beetles because most were taxi's and were driven in the ground.

That is Not true. Most taxis were destroyed. Many you still see in the street were bought for personal use as they were cheap
