Estas Tonne' is a modern day Troubadour. He was born in former USSR where he trained in classical guitar for 6 years. He moved to Israel with his family and did not pick up a guitar again for 11 years. Estas arrived in New York just after the tragedy of 9/11 with the intention of finding his true path. It was here that he rediscovered his passion to play guitar. Teaming up with the already established violinist virtuoso, Michael Shulman, he played across New York throughout 2002, culminating in a moving 9/11 anniversary concert in Union Square. Since 2002 Estas went traveling and performing around the world, playing in the USA, Mexico,India,Israel and Europe, developing and refining a unique, diverse style that is shaped by the encounters of his journey. His music is exuberant, timeless yet inventive. It transcends cultural differences, speaks across generations, and inspires the heart of humanity.

I found this artist playing this song about a year ago. I never get tired of it. It is my favorite of his music. Sometimes depending on my mood,certain parts of the song really gets to me. You can see he is very passionate about his music. Hopefully one day I will see him in person.

Виртуоз (кто бы что ни говорил из так называемых профессионалов) - это, когда когда техника становится музыкой, и когда уже не думаешь о том, как сыграть, а думаешь о том, что сыграть, когда можешь уже быть свободен от ремесленничества и быть подлинным творцом. Виртуоз - это о тех, кто может без всякого напряжения, естественно и легко, как птица в полете, выражать себя через инструмент, не заботясь уже ни об аккордах, ни о струнах или пальцах, ни о правильности или неправильности, а только изливать на инструменте свои эмоции и мысли, свою душу и свои идеи. Боже, этот человек составляет единое целое с гитарой! Она его продолжение, она его выражение, его душа - в его глазах, и чистота - в лучезарной улыбке, а сердце - на кончиках пальцев. Я пишу этот комментарий под его музыку, и этот комментарий - тоже продолжение его музыки. И я живу на одной планете с этим удивительным существом света, для которого просто не нахожу слов?! Having recently disovered this guy i am always in 2 minds as to whether to click his recommended video or not. The reason is that i know i will be taken on a spirtitual journey through time and this takes a lot of emotional preperation. So glad i have disovered this guy. He's not rememberign every note. He has a rough layout of the song and makes the details as he goes along. I've seen him perform the same song multible times and it was always different. The man just lives music.

This is what I like about Estas - he looks, feels, and vibrates emitting passion from his majestic presence and soul engulfing and emerging his audience. His hypnotic being is transcendental. I love his wonderful eccentricity especially the incense stick protruding from the neck of the guitar with a smoke stream waving under his nose. You gotta love it!

While there are many excellent guitar players in the world, listening to you is a most personal experience. It was interesting that you said this is your yoga because when you play it feels like you're sharing an intimate piece of your soul and it's a beautiful soul! I could listen for hours (and did!). I think you are my favorite guitar player now :) Thank you for putting your playing online so I can enjoy you from so far away (Michigan, USA). I'm going to listen to you often and regularly. If you ever get famous and play the big venues, I hope you keep playing on the street, too, because you must bring so much joy to those lucky enough to happen upon you and who might not be able afford to go to a concert. I am a visual artist who at a time studied serious classical music to a degree not matching the Estas . He is out of this world!I do have the joy of listening to him. As a portrait artist, I must say that he is also a visual sight to behold. I do not want a cd of his material.....I demand a dvd, lol! One more thing: is he really Jesus.? И вот выходит такой Д, Артаньян", в шляпе, с волосами до плеч, мы с ним поговорили, он тоже не знал, пожелали друг другу всего хорошего и пошли каждый своей дорогой. Я ещё тогда не знала, что это за человек. Но это так классно, что я лично с ним встретилась в этой жизни.
В его музыкальном образе есть всё...И это действительно надо понимать.Некоторые пишут ничего особенного,ведь в этом ничего особенного звучат все образы...музыка городской суеты,да сейчас уже везде...он великолепно сыграл этот образ.Честь и слава ему!!!

Александр Суворов уверен, гитару ты в руки не брал никогда. То, что ты называешь "не чистыми звуками" делается специально частичная заглушка, игра на струнах в разных позициях это все часть произведения. Небось трубач или вообще олень который своё никому не нужное мнение оставил.

Having recently disovered this guy i am always in 2 minds as to whether to click his recommended video or not. The reason is that i know i will be taken on a spirtitual journey through time and this takes a lot of emotional preperation. So glad i have disovered this guy. This is what I like about Estas - he looks, feels, and vibrates emitting passion from his majestic presence and soul engulfing and emerging his audience. His hypnotic being is transcendental. I love his wonderful eccentricity especially the incense stick protruding from the neck of the guitar with a smoke stream waving under his nose. You gotta love it!

Dear Estas Tonne: I only heard you for the first time tonight. I've now listened to several TH-cam's of you playing. While there are many excellent guitar players in the world, listening to you is a most personal experience. It was interesting that you said this is your yoga because when you play it feels like you're sharing an intimate piece of your soul and it's a beautiful soul! I could listen for hours (and did!). I think you are my favorite guitar player now :) Thank you for putting your playing online so I can enjoy you from so far away (Michigan, USA). I'm going to listen to you often and regularly.
If you ever get famous and play the big venues, I hope you keep playing on the street, too, because you must bring so much joy to those lucky enough to happen upon you and who might not be able afford to go to a concert.
When it warms up, I think you should go to Donbass and play on the streets. They could use some joy.

I am a visual artist who at a time studied serious classical music to a degree not matching the Estas . He is out of this world!I do have the joy of listening to him. As a portrait artist, I must say that he is also a visual sight to behold. I do not want a cd of his material.....I demand a dvd, lol! One more thing: is he really Jesus.? He looks like him & apparently plays like him giving joy & inspiration to many of us!

Представьте, а мне повезло с Estas Tonne поговорить пару минут, и он подарил мне свой диск. Это было в Париже. Подхожу к двум парням, спрашиваю, не знают ли они, где находится клуб русской авторской песни, они говорят:"Мы не знаем. Сейчас из магазина выйдет русский, он, может знает". И вот выходит такой Д, Артаньян", в шляпе, с волосами до плеч, мы с ним поговорили, он тоже не знал, пожелали друг другу всего хорошего и пошли каждый своей дорогой. Я ещё тогда не знала, что это за человек. Но это так классно, что я лично с ним встретилась в этой жизни.

Александр Суворов уверен, гитару ты в руки не брал никогда. То, что ты называешь "не чистыми звуками" делается специально частичная заглушка, игра на струнах в разных позициях это все часть произведения. Небось трубач или вообще олень который своё никому не нужное мнение оставил.
