I have such a love/hate relationship with Schmidt. He's such an asshole most of the time but in the moments where he just lets his guard down and stops being such an insecure d-bag he's so sweet and has the funniest moments in the whole series.
I think that's a great way to describe him as he can be SUCH a selfish, even sexist douchebag sometimes and I really don't like a lot of what he says and does such as the cheating and breast reduction episodes but he can also be funny and surprisingly sweet and I didn't expect him to do something as selfless as becoming a stay at home parent.
