All - Please don't compare baleno with elite i 20...i20 is premium quality hatchback...2 months back..i wanna buy a car...and baleno was on top of my list..but when I looked into the detail.
It's interior...seats, dashboard etc.didn't liked this as my new buy..then I went to VW for Polo Highline Plus...it's worth it..but someone told me to visit the Hyundai for elite i20...I checked Polo and i20..both are good in their features...but i20 fits my requirements...I bought i20 asta dual tone red black...and seriously everyone around me loved my choice over Polo.
Coming back to maruti...I own Ciaz as well...it's interiors are much rich in class than any other premium sedan...but baleno disappointed me...all in all...if want hatchback and mileage - go for baleno...if want premium hatchback for joyful ride...just go for elite i20..
And believe me.. mileage don't make much difference..
Hyundai after sales service is also good..using Santro Zing since 2005...never got any issue in it..
Sir music system problem is liye atta hai kyonki aap engine on na karey Bina music system ka use kartey hai agar aisa kabhi ho Toh car ko lock Kar key after 5 minutes unlock kariye Toh Wapas on ho jayega system
If its asta optional then where are drl and projector lamps?
ABS indication in speedometer console is on. This is not new for Hyundai's car.
Just want to mention that after sale service is costly
1) Rear tyre ABS for both wheel will cost approximately 20k (if car is under warranty it will be free.)
2) Stearing Motor problem will cost around 12 to 15k (if car is under warranty it will be free)
3) my i20 was fitted with Apollo tyre that lasted upto 25k for city like Mumbai whereas company fitted swift goodyear tyre lasted for 45k.
All this problem will occur after 3 years when warranty of the car will cease
Request you to mention after sales service/ spare part cost under long term review it seems it is one sided review from motor octane.

MotorOctane thanks for your acknowledgement, just want to add Hyundai's business strategy is based on "Razor & blades model" i.e car is sold at competitive price but company will profit itself in after sales service by costing up spare part.

Sir kindly compare back seat comfort over long distance drives between elite I 20 & Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Also compare the maintenance & parts cost of the diesel engines of the elite i20 & Baleno. Also is the diesel engine of Baleno underpowered. Sir kindly review these parameters as anybody buying a car needs these details compared.

Mahesh Yadav actually it is don't believe the review some of these guys are not owners ..ask the owners of Baleno I will best for Indian road bit of stiff suspension but once u know how to handle it will not bother you so I suggest you go FR it
