Welcome back to the worlds No.1 band. Makes me smile when I hear people talking about how these ladies have the power to inspire them. Me personally, have recently gone through a, let's say a life changing situation, radical radiotherapy that has made a huge difference to me, I think listening to and watching these ladies was the one thing that made me push through, so I will always be grateful to them for being who they are. It's been a nuclear bomb! And the Haruna drum solo it's been insane! She has proved to be the undisputed queen of drums (of men and women)! The Fami's bass was bossy. Miyako and Midori in amazing form as usually and Asami super brilliant !!
Yes, truly awesome. I would have never missed this live event. They are phenomenal. Perfect sound and mixing. Haruna was incredible on drums. Asami is THE VOICE. M&M perfect solo & together as usual. Fami is at their level. My only regret was no Holy War. The new single Soul Defender is another great song with JP vibes.
#lovebites does it like nobody else can. And doing Under the Red Sky to finish was awesome. I was surprised that there was no Holy War unless I missed it, but 2 hours of well spent time, makes it a must for getting the dvd/bluray 🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🐺

I’m in a hotel in Osaka after returning from Korea…a 3 day side trip to see and meet LOVEBITES for the 5th time this year. It’s costing me a fortune, I don’t have as much money as people would think, but careful planning and money management gets you far. Keep pushing yourself Tauri.

The two recent live videos "We Are The Resurrection" (from 2023) and "Rising" (from 2018) were part of the new Blu-ray/2DVD/2CD "Memorial For The Warrior Souls", that will be released on the same day (August 28th, 2024). It contains their performance with the biggest crowd of last year's Japan tour (Judgement Day tour 2023) with 20 full songs. Today, they have shown this live album in a free live stream (sadly for you without archive). After that, they've also played the second OMV of the new album "LOVEBITES EP II", called "Soul Defender". The concert and the new video were really good! It may become their best live album ever! I've expected them to drop the OMV on the channel, but we may have to wait for 2 weeks, until it is released. Or not, who knows. First listen was pretty good. LOVEBITES has re-recorded a third item, for a limited edition of the new EP, which is the debut EP "The LOVEBITES EP" (2017) with Fami on bass, new recording (Bravehearted not in Japanese, but in English). Also released on 28th. The new EP II has 5 songs, that will be promoted on September 21st, but some details are missing (e.g., if it's also online, not just at Tower Records). Maybe they are playing some of the songs live, I don't know.
Have you ever been to a gospel revival? That's how this feels, and I don't think that's an accident. Asami used to sing soul and blues. This song brings out that side of her perfectly.

This track has pretty much everything - a seamless and innovative blend of AOR/heavy rock, speed-power metal, and a bit of thrash thrown in at the breakdown before the solos. At the same time, it's got a catchy hook to make this an awesome LIVE song in the making. BTW, from the same new EP "Lovebites EP II", the band just dropped another song/MV called "Soul Defender" today on August 12. The 2 previous songs you have mentioned ("We are the Resurrection" and "Rising") are from a separate LIVE album called "Memorial for the Warrior Souls". Both the new EP "Lovebites EP II" and the new LIVE LP "Memorial for the Warrior Souls" will be released in a couple of weeks on the same day - August 28.
