Yeah, i love BFMV, but their vocal isn't my favourite. A7x is my favourite because of guitar solos and M. Shadows voice.

I would love to see him play Sidewinder. It’s my favorite A7X song. Eternal Rest is good and Desecrate through Reverence is also good. I’d also like to see him play Victim.

a7x got me into metal, bfmv got me into metalcore, now all i can listen to is waking the fallen, and sounding the seventh trumpet, bfmv is good but not as good as a7x

Actually A7X takes the lead in lyrics by far, I've noticed a lot of cheesy lyrics in bullet songs, especially later stuff

To add my two cents into the mix, I feel that Avenged Sevenfold’s riffs are either more groove-based or more colourful due to the band’s eclectic influences and how they’re shown in their music whereas Bullet For My Valentine’s riffs are more visceral, aggressive and more emotionally resonant. It’s not to say that one band’s riffs can’t convey the same vibes as the other, it’s to say that their styles highlight those aspects the most in their music. Regardless, both band’s riffs are sick as fuck and I can’t choose between them since they’re both my favourite bands.

These 2 bands are evenly matched in terms of riffs. The decider match between these bands is a match between vocals.
So a clear win for Bullet, imo, but the solos for A7X might be enough to counter out that decider match

Riff wise they are on level terms but clean parts and soloing of A7X are on a different world thanks to Synyster Gates...even during their metalcore he was scarily good to say the least

The riffs from natural born killer and scream that’s some of my favorites
I may be in the minority here but though I love both bands, I mean M Shadows has a perfect voice for A7X’s sound. Zacky and Gates are a phenomenal guitar team. But I actually like BFMV more. They have a more thrash/speed metal vibe for me and I like that. I wish Matt had more consistency to his vocals like M Shadows does but at least their studio stuff is excellent. And of course Matt and Padge are amazing together. As far as solos go im a little more a fan of Padge than Gates. And overall I like more BFMV than A7X songs overall. I know it’s probably a minority opinion that’s just me tho.
There is no VS between the two parties, the cool thing is collaboration. :D who agrees with that voice? \m/

I love both bands. Each bands does something on their own, they have a goal. Comparison is not even realistic.
Saying Padge is not able to pick like Syn would be an assumption. Even if it's true that Syn is skill-wise much better than Padge, we wouldn't ever know unless they actually have a picking contest 1v1 live with the same gear and equipment (neutral, they've never used those), etc... which is also dumb. It'd be cool as hell, but dumb.
That said, for the material we have to go for, A7X millions miles better, but it's just different styles as well.

Bullet had some pretty heavy riffs all the way to Fever, as opposed to A7X , yhey are a bit more experimental with their music. Not necessarily heavy but aggressive.

@@brandynkazali7160 They're great. And I believe syn's better in general when it comes to harmony with zacky. I just couldn't help to tell that 4 words intro riff (the part just before and when the verse started) is killer and so damn cool (despite not included in the video but nevermind). There are two songs that made me listen to bfmv: 4 words and hands of blood.
I like bullet more city of evil is the only album I really can give too on a7x but I don't think the last albums by bfmv were super good. I'll need to listen again.

@@ayanakash9900 I feel like you exclusively listen to A7X. They are good, but there are some guitarists that are better than Synister Gates. Look up Angel Vivaldi or John Petrucci or Kiko whats his face from Megadeth. Also, have you heard stuff like scream aim fire from BFMV? They are way more aggressive than A7X and just better overall. Especially the vocals and riffs. But lets be real: Gojira destroys all of these bands.
