It would be funny, but also stupidly overpowered. If that was the case, I think the meta would devolve into who can play the most tentacles the fastest. Because if you can play a puzzle box for 1 mana, multiple times a turn, you almost always just win.
With Yog Tentacle Swarm might be the 2nd ability quite often. Reign of Chaos is basically a singular big threat removal and Induce Insanity is semi reliable wide board removal I don't see very many instances where it would be advantageous for them to be used back to back so Tentacle Swarm is a big value bridge to force you enemy to react.
I like Tentacle Swarm because it's the only proactive choice. Both Reign of Chaos and Induce Insanity are reactive. Tentacle swarm also seems to be the kind of choice that you pic if you are despearated and need some BS to happen to win. Tentacle swarm is a win more choice, and win more cards are not good, but when they are an option they are great, because they are meant to seal the deal.
It's because you don't play mage, so you say this shit, driven by lack of knowledge! It will run for 2 weeks and then people will forget that this MEME card existed!!
Yogg is more chaotic the more spells you play, this one has a similar feel in that regard. The setup is a bit more niche, but in a late-game deck that can get enough room, multiple 10 cost spells can do well, depending on the pool of spells there is. Also, burn decks have the potential to run this for chance lethal, dump hand play free yogg and just throw the tentacles out.

You don't realize how 1/2 casting convoke the spirit or from the other side for 1 mana is game winning. conductivity, a nature spell about lighting with good value. very core to the idea and flavor of shaman. Plus what's cooler than being the Lord of the elements and summoning tons of ragnaros. infested watcher, plays on the idea of shaman and their ancestors through deathrattle. ancestral stuff is very important to the idea and flavor of shaman. as speaking to their ancestors for wisdom and advice was literally their job on orcish draenor. thats why cards like From De Other Side are so flavorful as well. shock hopper, a cheap card that generates high value for shaman, particular in overload decks. of which overload is one of shaman strongest class identities and flavorful architypes because of how core overload is to shaman. plus its an elemental beast so it can fit into more archetypes that are good flavor and class identity in elementals these cards are kinda good. i can only see conductivity working in the ragnaros combo deck. And shock hopper doing well in overload or elemental
Well if you look at the pool of spells if for some reason you actually get to 10, you have pyroblast, necrotic explosion, convoke the spirits, from the other side, and gardens grace. Can probably get nuts if you reach it.
I really like the new Yogg, he gives slower spell based deck a way to deal with a wide range of board states. Yes the Chaotic Tentacle mode is the weakest, but it is also the only value mode that you can just do when you're already ahead on the board, and people will just choose that mode because they want to see what will happen.
They should make Vezax "give 4 armor when this attacks" and not "battlecry: give 4 armor". This way, you would be able to indefinitely resummon it, provided that the opponent's board has big enough minions to run Vezax into. Then, you would clear the board, BUT... The "gain armor" counter (if Odyn was played earlier) will only go up. You see where this is going? So this card would be able to single-handedly OTK against a big board. OP? Yes, but control warrior has been bad for a while, so it wouldn't hurt. And it would only be OP in very specific circumstances. In the current form, this can still clear a board, but only if you have an armor buffer to match the number of times you need to resummon this.
I think the Yogg titan "tentacle fill your hand" ability would be better feeling if it did the effect PLUS adds 1 to your count. Makes it feel like you get to more impactful spells quicker.
New-Yogg is honestly my favorite Yogg, it's the one that I feel is most evocative of his Warcraft counterpart. He's always been my favorite Old God and I was annoyed when he was just a LOLXDRANDOMSPELLS card. It'd be kinda cool if each Old God got a re-vamped Titan version. Woulda been cool if there was some effect to pay tribute to his previous versions like "when this uses all of it's abilities / attacks cast Puzzlebox instead" or something, so in the off chance you DID cast all 3 abilities he went nutz, but whatever. I'm really happy with a Yogg that isn't just LULRNG.
I think yogg in standard will be a late game bomb like in control priest/demon Hunter maybe. I think yogg in wild might be a combo card you can turbo cost reduce in druid or something. Lmk if you disagree.
Contaminated Lasher seems like a staple for Tony Druid and decent for Aviana, a budget alternative to Kun/Eonar though it's not as strong and works against Oaken Summons
Yogg looks decent. I'm in agreeance for its usability. The 15 mana thing kind of sucks but you can pull with the warlock legendary and then discard to deal damage to all minions, I guess, but more importantly, in warriors, you can pull and get 15 armor. Otherwise I think most spell oriented classes can run it. But I'm not sure what to slot out.
i hope that Tentacle Swarm will improve the future tentacls by six and the cherry on top if they would do the 1 mana spell too so you have some kind of randomness innit
that'd mean he can't be 15 mana since Titans can't have 2 passives. So he'd be like 10 to 8 mana. And for that cost, he'd be broken since he'd be run as just a good card in every class. Can't give a neutral titan good abilities and make him accessible to all classes.
@sharlockshacolmes9381 youd need to speck into a heavy spell build to draw and cast 5. Not many classes wanna run 15+ spells to make yogg consistent. Making him 10 mana period makes you build whatever you want and just leave 1 slot for yogg who'd be generically good as board clear.
Yogg would be great if his cost was reduced for each tentacle played, too. Would reward leaning into the randomness and playing a dedicated "Yogg tribal deck".
I think the problem with tendrils and Yogg is that you want to be casting spells to reduce Yogg, but if you're playing the tendrils (and the tendril generators) you are not casting spells.
I think the tenacle ability of yog should remain the same but 2 of the other abilities should be changed to "A Yogg-Saron, Hope's End" To your hand and the second would be obviously the second yog.
Move aside 4 mana 7/7, we have 3 mana 6/6 now with 0 downsides! At worst 3 mana 4/4, at extra worst it just get objectioned and is 3 mana overloaded effectively.
Yogg's Tentacle Swarm would have been so much more Yogg flavour, if it said something like "There are played Chaotic Tendrils, until your board is filled"
I think chaos tendrils as a concept is powerful but the cards that generate it arent good enough. I think this would have worked for a class theme rather than a miniset theme. Because Imagine your opponent playing 50 mana worth of spells because they already juiced up the tendrils and then played Yogg. But these arent good enough to play underwhelming cards to generate them and there needs to be a lot of them to make it a worthwhile payoff.

I think the possibly overlooked feature of Yogg is the fact that he’s made cheaper by spells *casted* not played. Some great minions and spells can synergize with this like the 4 mana naga teacher as just a great card or spells that generate or cast additional spells, even each chaotic tendril reduces yoggs cost as well
Sorry to break it to you, but when hearthstone says cast spells as a condition it means played. Easiest way to verify is the fact that school teacher nagalings don't get queen azshara and similar cards active.

I'll probably stop playing wild just becuase of that Druid card. They already have really good control in wild, and 10 mana gain 20 armor or 10 mana pyroblast with face as a druid.. It just doesn't sound fun to play against. A druid can gain more armor then a warrior as is.

Yogg is 100% Rogue, they will have it cheap, they will bounce it so they can answer anything, and they will get to fill their hand with tentacles that all cast high cost spells. Value will be gone from the game, there is only Yogg Rogue on the board/value side, rest will be otk's that can kill it before it pops off, like mages and shamans.
my suggestion on how to fix yogg saron -as a titan it's fine -take control of one (maybe two) random enemy minions (alternatively, you swap a random page with your opponent (in funny situations you give your opponent a yogg for random crap)) -all other minions hit each other (option that everything dies except yogg) - cast ten random spells (of course, targets are selected randomly) In my opinion this is what it should look like

Taking control of a minion can be good, but Sylvanas already exists and is way easier to get infused and doesn't see a ton of play. Of course yogg is going into more spell centric decks but still. The other side is something that doesn't ensure a full board clear. The tendrils aren't going to see play, they are too random and slow. Overall, I don't know who is going to want to put Yogg in their deck.

It's weird I like Contaminated Lasher for aggro playing spells to summon 2/2s and then dropping this to keep buffing or developing board seems alright
