- Mike and I started this journey in January of 2017. What started as a simple passion project to make fun golf videos of amazing courses has taken us to places we would never have imagined back then. Through the years we've been blessed to be able to meet so many great people and experience so many amazing courses. If there's anything you take away from our journey its this: do what you love and do it with conviction. The rest will take care of itself.

When Justin shows up you can play "worst ball". The guys on Golficity really have a great time with it. It does make you work on your weaknesses. Great match today guys, Mike is strong.

Will be down there for the American Express coming up in a couple weeks. We are playing the dune course and mountain course, along with Nicklaus and stadium. PGA West is my favorite place to stay and play!

Just played PGA West Mountain course, the Stadium Course, and Silver Rock last month and had such a great time down there.

I hear ya. I lost about 30lbs (30 years ago) and couldn't play as good. I put the weight back on and got it back.

Is Coach rocking a new camo GH cap? I don’t see it in the store. I have the Golfholics cap and like the look of the camo cap.
At my age, and game, I’ll never play the tips. When you play all the awesome courses, if possible, can you show where the white tees are? Sometimes they’re in the shot, but many times not. A course map doesn’t really show the realities of the course.

I played this course for the first time(s) just last year. Played with the SCGA in their One Day tournament. Played a practice round the week before to get an idea of the layout. It looks like we played from the same tees. Looks like the rough was trimmed for you guys, though I played in the summer, so they probably leave it longer to beat the heat.
Was doing ok in the tournament until about the 15th hole (shotgun start). The heat and a slow pace of play eventually wore me down, tho. Birdied hole # 16 (par 5), but then the wheels fell off :-D. My car's thermometer read 116F when I left the parking lot. Was down to 109F by the time I hit the Interstate.
Those forced water carries can be a bit intimidating if you're not a long hitter ;-)
The SCGA has a One Day events scheduled at Balboa Park in April, Rams Hill and Classic Club in May, Encinitas Ranch in June, PGA West Nicklaus Tournament and Indian Wells Players in September and RBI and Soboba Springs in November if you guys might be interested. Friendly, handicapped competition :-)
Edit to add:
A fun format my friends and I played was sort of a round-robin fourball. Partner with each of the other 3 for 6 holes each. Put some money in the kitty, divided by points won. We usually did a point for a hole win (for each of the team), point for birdies and sandy pars, two for sandy birdies (individual).
the course isn’t that long, but it’s definitely not easy. i moved out there right when covid started and had to move away recently, but looking forward to moving back to play these amazing courses again.

My boyfriend and I watch these every Tuesday as part of our date nights---such great content! We'd love to know Marko's secret to his weight loss! Anything in particular work?
Super cool you both watch them on date nights! I’ve been doing F45 five days a week and it’s totally transformed my body. The classes are always changing and I’ve met some great people in class so now it’s a workout and social event. I think they have them all over the country.

I love PGA West. Was out there in March but every type of course you can imagine on one property. Bro that Par 3 over water on Dunes is ridiculous into the wind. Ive hit anything from PW to 3 wood on that hole.

Like many others, I've been with Golfholics since the beginning - great job you guys! Have you considered a 2022 Golfholics Match Play tournament bracket? I'm not sure how the filming would work, but have an 8 or 16 player handicapped bracket of the players we have seen over the years. Two players who need to face off against each other on the bracket choose a course together (to their strengths and weaknesses), pick a day, and play a handicapped match. We fans would get to see different SoCal courses, strategies, unusual matchups according to playing style, nerves and fun!

Prefer the Mountain Course over Dunes at La Quinta. That back 9 on Mountain is awesome.
We miss seeing Paris and the other ladies. They really add a lot to the matches, especially when they win:-)
The 16th @ the PGA west stadium course # avoid the bunker
A fun match to watch is a scramble where the team has to play the worst ball rather than the best ball. It also works if each golfer plays individually, hits 2 balls, and playsn the worst shot. It really makes you cancentrate on every shot.

Play a 2 vs 2 best ball match play, where if the first balls tie, you go to the second ball to see who wins the hole. If second balls tie, the hole is halved. That's how we play it so both players have to play hard and never give up. Good fun.
I played PGA West Mountain course recently and the greens were hard and fast. Everyone was dribbling putts by the hole. 😣

Please play Rancho LaQuinta. In 1997 my boss and I played 198 holes there in 5 days.

Marko, you need new clubs with longer shafts and a steeper pitch so that you are standing more upright allowing your swing plane to be angled more upright than your current flat plane which is causing every shot to swoop from left to right. Make that change and your irons and drives will be more vertical and in line with the flag.
