      I think winning games against good teams, NBA Cup or not, is always a good thing. Lakers may have had a bit of a slide after their Cup win, but they're just one team. One team doesn't make it a trend. That may have just had something to do with the Lakers as a team.

      You can tell this was something they wanted to win to gain confidence but not their end goal hence why they passed on spraying or drinking champaigne that was set up for them after the game. I think they have the right mindset and they are on the right path.

    Here is my analysis:
    - Giannis passing is making his teammates better
    - The Bucks have a much improved defense which will keep getting better
    - Giannis finally has a solid squad of people around him that can make the 3 on a consistent basis. Dame, Dairy Bird, TP, Lopez, Gary Trent, Bobby P.
    - Giannis is reading the game better (improved basketball iq), and has finally realized to stop shooting 3's. He now has added a pretty good mid range to his arsenal
    - Giannis at this point is pretty unstoppable and is bullying defenses all across the league
    -Dame and Giannis are now finally on the same page. And Dame is now comfortable playing in his role
    -Ajax is an elite defender. Dairy bird is a good defender that can hold his own too
    - Dairy Bird might be one of the best pure shooters that this league has ever seen! And this is a guy that went undrafted
    - Bucks team chemistry is at an all time high
    - Giannis defense this year is giving me defensive player of the year vibes from a few years back
    - If Bucks keep playing like this, they will certainly make it to the Eastern Conference Finals and beyond..

      That's been true for years. It's a joke that Giannis has finished 3rd after Embiid several times. I will say that if Embiid stayed healthy last season and kept up the same level of play, that would have been the one year he deserved MVP. He did not deserve it in the year he got it.

  • @warpspeed9877
    @warpspeed9877 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +19

    All NBA narratives are big teams and West side based. Any superstar in the West has all the spotlights on him. It's infuriating the lengths the media will go to rob him of another MVP. They even gave that fraud Embiid an MVP instead of his third. Now it's all about Jokic. Who is more useful as a road cone than a defender. People tend to forget the amount of energy required to be a good defender. And even with this metric fulfilled, Giannis manages to be the first scorer with extraordinary percentages. Let's watch the goalposts being moved again so they can find another reason not to give him his third MVP.

    • @basketballreach
      @basketballreach  20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

      I agree with your take of Giannis being the MVP right now. As I said if Giannis is even 75% of the offensive player that Jokic is while being leagues ahead defensively that for me makes him my MVP

      @Wallyworld30 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@CindiCindi15 Doc Rivers has worked out a new strategy with Giannis this season that Giannis has never done before but works beautifully. With 10 minutes left in the 4th Quarter Doc will sit Giannis for rest until there is around 4 minutes left in the game. When Doc puts Giannis back in the game with 4 minutes left Giannis is able to go 100% of his potential on defense while everyone else is tired. This season during the final 4 minutes of every game Giannis is an absolute terror on defense.
      The Giannis you see during the first 3 quarters is a completely different player. He uses all his energy for offense and just kind of coasts on defense. This is how Giannis is averaging a career high 33pts/game because he's not burning himself out ont he defensive end for the first 3 quarters. Doc Rivers really deserves a ton of credit for the way he's coached this season. He has so many haters it's insane but he really has done an amazing job fixing this franchise which has been a disaster ever since Jrue Holiday was traded until 16 games ago. Since then Bucks are 13-3.

    Boricua Hispanic India n black iam. Not sure because if chet was there they might won . Is true , before of injury chet was score 29 point , I hope he gets better. Isaiah harstein only is a back up. Chet Shai Jalen Era better together, next time you going to see it , chet Shai Jalen n Milwaukee not going to win next time.. 😅 I like Milwaukee but the thing I say is true, check the old game n chet was there.

    Small sample size theater. OKC was somewhat exposed with regard to their weaknesses (size/shot creation/inexperience under pressure) but they still have a better chance of coming out of the west than the Bucks have of coming out of the east.

    The coach of the Milwaukee Bucks figured out the league and now the NBA has a Doc Rivers problem.
