The music makes me wanna cry even more. That thrill of every game feeling like a window into a different world. Those childhood days, with the vibrant imagination of a kid, gone forever.
Maaan! thanks!! I've been almost 8 years trying to find one of those games!!! it was Blackthone! thaank you!
1:04 Thank you, I was searching this game from a long time. Bonkheads.
YES, same here!
18 years later I found bonkheads thanks to you. Thank you very much!
I’ve literally been trying to remember Glypha for YEARS. Thank you for this, couldn’t for the life of me figure out what it was called and NOBODY else knew what the heck I was talking about. Man, those sound effects are deep in my brain.
Yeah, it's a nice Joust clone. (I like it better than Joust)
Back in the day I spent a LOT of time playing Al Unser Jr Arcade Racing. Thanks for the memories.
i literally searched for deadalus encounter for 15 years+. thank you so much.
You're welcome :)
Thanks, helped me find shockwave assault, specifically it was the 2nd game. Great memories!
OMG ! You are the best ! I found all the old mac games I was looking for because I totally forgot what they were called :D
I also have a game that i have been looking for. When i was in middle school (1994 - 1997) there was a game that my buddy played on a Mac in the computer lab. All i remember is that it was a sci fi, first person adventure game. In one scene you had to gain passage on a space ship and then ended up working in the boiler room. Not much to go on so i appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for putting together these videos!
Yeah I remember that in elementary school, there is a scene where you look thru a telescope and another scene where theres like a play room or something
gracias al fin pille bonkheads :D
durante años no podia recordar su nombre!
Yessssss! Was looking for bonkheads! Forgot what it was called!
1:37 Always loved the scream when the queen was killed
Anyone remember this mac game where you were a soldier or something, 1st person shooter, and the first level you had to rescue a captured buddy. The guy that gave you orders in voice over at the start of the mission said "semper fi" at the end. That's all I can remember.
Sensory Overload, maybe?
0.58 Mario on Mac? awesome
I love Shockwave; I have it for my 3DO!
Hi! I am looking for what I'm almost positive was a game I played on the Mac in the 90s. Think we had a 1993 Mac. It was a puzzle/strategy game kind of like the "board" game Drive Ya Nuts. Consisted of either diamond or hexagonal tiles with numbers on each side. You only had so many tiles and you had to put the tiles together like a puzzle with the number all matching. Does this ring a bell to anyone
i'm looking for this top down 2.5D graphics classic horror movie themed game. there were flesh eating plants in the early levels and in the later levels there were werewolves who you could only kill with silver bullets. the player character was this dude with an eyepatch i think. i've been looking for this game for years!
Sorry, no clue. Maybe some of the other viewers will know?
YAY PUTT PUTT AND FREDDIE FISH! MY CHILDHOOD! :D
there’s a snake game i. trying to find that was played on Macintosh computers where you eat snake eggs to grow bigger and eat other snakes heads to grow big and the player snakes are green and blue and talked
Snavely, maybe?
The Labyrinth of Time :)
I agree Gadget is atmospheric, however it's not "fairly" linear, it's completely linear! :) It's more like an interactive slideshow than a game.
That game's Gadget. It was like Myst, but in the futureistic early 1900s, kinda steampunk, and the atmosphere is kinda creepy. I have the game and I think it's worth playing, though its fairly linear.
THANKS... took me a few minutes to remember where it was from.. i just was not sure about it.
@applemctom back when i was in elementary school in the early to mid nineties there was this super fun mini-golf game that for the time had pretty good graphics. I've been searching all over and can't seem to find it, and can't remember the name at all. Any ideas?
Wow I played a good amount of these and I never thought that they were Mac games. Do you the one game about a Boy and a R2D2 type robot that go to different times like the Medival Times at a Jousting Tourney, a Boat to Ellis Island, The revolutionary war and other places. I remember playing that all the time at my Elementary school. I can see it but I just never remembered the name of that game
So I didn't see a game I'm trying to remember the name of in either of your videos. I'm fairly confident it was on a disc I had for a Mac in the early to mid 90s. It was a futuristic sport game where you hovered around on a dish inside of a giant bowl and tried to score a steel ball in your opponent's goal. Any ideas on the name?
Yo! Im trying to think of this educational game on the mac in the 90s where you are like in a city square and you have to save this character who turned to stone in the center of town and you have to go to the library and aquarium and stuff to turn her back to normal and every time you complete a section her color shows.
great video thanks !!!!
Wanted game: You play as a rockey/spaceship (I think it was red), and you shoots your enemies to collect, think, stars to gear up your guns/cannons. Ring any bells?
Martin Andersen i think its called FUBAR or FOOBAR. iv been looking everywhere. Its a red ship. Overhead view
I am searching for this one game on Mac - please help me find it.
Two cannons opppsing each other, mountain in the middle - little flag showed wind speed and direction - you could set th3 angle of the cannon and how much powder should be used.
Played it on Performa 630 same time hellcats over the pacific and glider pro were out.
Any hint would be appreciated.
Artillery 2.0.2
The Incredible Machine
Hope this channel is still active. There was this game - if you could call it that, where you could put spheres/balls together and they would bounce around the screen. I don’t remember the point of the game. But I remember playing it a lot. Maybe around 1993?
I'm still active! :) Unfortunately, I don't know the game you mentioned. I hope some of the other viewers will know it!
Do you mean Oxyd?
Glypha iii, a Joust clone :)
Tristan!
Glyph!
wats the game at 2:51?, i loved point and click games like myst, labyrinth of time, and spaceshipwarlock which u should put in the next video collection of mac games if u make one
AppleMcTom, master of mac gaming, I am looking for a painting game from the late 90s, that might've involved a purple guy, and also had some sort of point and click adventuring I think with it.... It had a completely integrated paint program, allowing kids to make banners, tesselations, etc...
Any ideas Apple Master?
raiden II music ftw!
Help. I’m trying to find a game that I thought was called “in the kitchen” I played it in the 90s on power pc, a Mac laptop of some sort and another Macintosh computer. It was mostly black and white but had some color. Very little animation and sounds (from what I can recall) I know there’s a blender and I think you could chop things up and mix things. I think there was a character similar to the pillsbury dough boy. It’s driving me nuts that no one knows of it
Man, now I want to know too! I did a little research, maybe it's one of the following games?
Smile: The Splattering
Factory: The Industrial Devolution
Cooking with HyperTalk 2.0
My Disney Kitchen
If not, I think I still need a little bit more information...
applemctom none of these are right. It’s just a cooking game
Power Macintosh is one I played it on
Anyone remember the name of a top-down pizza delivery game, where you get told the location of where to drive to drop off a pizza, and you need to fill up on gas, etc? Took place in a grid layout. Fun little game, but I can't remember the name of it, nor have I seen it in any of these videos yet.
Pizza Tycoon (aka Pizza Connection), maybe? But I'm not sure if that was released for the Mac.
applemctom No, that’s not it. It was a very simple game that consisted of driving only. You would start at the pizza shop and they would give you a location to drive to to delivery the pizza. You couldn’t hit any other cars or run out of gas or it was game over. Top down, grid based. Fun, simple, free game on Mac in the 90s.
cool music !
Hey, what is the game at 3:22? I have been looking for a game like that. Wow brings back memories!! Thanks!
Riven?
Can you please put the names of the games as annotations?
Still, really nice video!
Steve Spurrier golfing?
Looking for a game...maybe a point and click, where you can go down the kitchen sink drain. Maybe kind of like "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids". The main char was a rabbit I think. That's all I remember about it...?
Was it this?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Manhole
Maybe it's "Triazzle: Living Puzzles" by Berkeley Systems?
Step On It!
hey im looking for a game that was on the Mac late 90s early 2000s that was black and white adventure game where you travelled to different planets, some made of cheese. I remember a specific detail that your space ship shot cue-tips. I think the main characters name was Osborn or Oswald something like that. Thanks!
Cosmic Osmo?
hey, do you know the name of the game where you play as a bat (or something like that,,,) and you had to bounce around collecting cookies? It was pretty weird, but i remembered playing it a lot, It was from a macworld demo cd in like 1999/2000 if that helps?
Me: I love Jazz Jackrabbit , he is cleary the best !!! ^.^
Sonic: Hey !, What about me ?!
Me: Get the fuck out of here! >:(
Bonkheads
Name of the game at 0:36??
I'm pretty sure that's "Pararena" by Casady & Greene... check my Casady & Greene (Defunct Game Developer #37) video :)
What is the name of the game at 2:36? I can't seem to find it anywhere :(
The Daedalus Encounter (starring Tia Carrere)
Song name please?
Actually the game is 3:39 sorry! :)
I think you mean "Cosmic Osmo & the World Beyond the Mackerel"? Check out my video "20 Games That Defined the Apple MacIntosh SE / Plus / Classic (B&W)" in which you find this game!
Hey man, Any way you could tell what game this is.. you start as a character, I remember you did a shootout in the beginning (like you would at a fair/caravel with water guns) and I also remember an ugly man that was locked into a piece of wood (medieval stocks) and you had to answer questions to free him. There were other objectives to the game, but I really only strongly remember those. It was on an old Mac. I also used to play oregon trail on the same computer.
+Anthony Williams: What kind of type of game was it? Adventure or something else? Was it in color or in black & white?
+applemctom adventure. Dr. something maybe. I think it was in color
+Anthony Williams: Hmm... I don't know really. I was thinking of "Cosmic Osmo and the Worlds Beyond the Mackerel", "Return to Zork" or "Dust: A Tale of the Wired West", but I don't think that is it.
I found it!!!.... "The secret Island of Dr. Quandary"
thats cool! Lemmings, Kings Quest, Sim City ... I loved them all!
Maybe somebody can help me finding the name of a game I played as a child.
It was a young boy trapped on an island and has to find his way back .. I loved this (mac) game but can't remember the name :(
Yeah, it was a freeware (or shareware) game called "Amazing Dudes" and it is a Mario rip-off.
You forgot Realmz
the birds on 2:17 please?!!
Nevermind
Can anyone help me, I am looking for a old mac game 2D, where you are a gold fish that shoots bubbles at other underwater creatures, the game consisted of several levels and the boss was a large shark with an eye patch.
One level you fight thousands of jelly fish, another one is your dog gets kidnapped by aliens and you must save him.
Any winners?
Gaming Booth: Bubble Trouble, maybe?
Thanks for calling me "master of mac gaming", but unfortunately I'm not worthy that title since I do not know what game you mean :)... I was thinking about Kid Pix, but I don't think that's the game... I sounds like an edutainment title, so I guess you've to search in that segment. Or maybe any of the other viewers can help out here?
Does anyone know what the game at 40 seconds is called? 😅
Sensory Overload... one of the first Mac FPS, with pretty great music.
hey im looking through your videos to find 2 games and im not sure if you'll have it.
one is where you are i think a banker or business man and you have to adventure around the world to progress and find things ect. it's in a 2.5D perspective and its a dear game to me.
The second is where you are a wizard dropped in the world and have to walk around, then you get in a fight real quick and it turns into both you and this other wizard moving left and right while firing fire balls at each other. any help would be wonderful thanks.
I'd love to help you, but I really don't know. I thought you maybe were talking about Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? or Gold Rush (for the first part) and Warlock (for the second part), but I guess those probably aren't the games you are looking for. Maybe someone else reading this will know? Let us know!
the more and more i think about those classic games im thinking my computer might have been windows.
Harry the Handsome Executive?
applemctom Not it. Think... a point and click adventure like Johnny rocket fingers 2.
Maybe 'Gold Rush' (by Sierra) or 'Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?' (by Broderbund) (for the banking game). Maybe 'Warlock' for the wizard game?
Power Pete?
im looking for a game that was on the Mac late 90s early 2000s, i only remember that there was a man in a candy world.. :/ i have been searching and nothing.. i dont remember anything else :((((( somebody? :I
Em. Command & Conquer: Generals is NOT a classic Mac game from the 90s. You put that one in as a curve ball, didn't ya?
Did I mess with your head? BRAINS
Anyone know the name of the game at 00:40 ?
Sensory Overload
