95 percent of the water that collected in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta has been flushed out to the ocean thanks to newsome. Farmers could use that water desperately, yet he’d rather cause an imbalance in the ocean to destroy local ecosystems

@@moreclips805 A portion of the water called first flush is let into the ocean to protect the ecosystem in the Delta. The rest is pumped into reservoirs in CA. The problem is there aren't enough reservoirs to catch all that run off. California should have been preparing for times like these but they did not get the funding needed. Another issue is CA has old and ineffective pumps, pipes, reservoirs. Nature can dump too much water like it is doing right now but the rate at which water is pumped into reservoirs is limited by the technology.

I thought it never rained in California. It didn't when we were there back in 1981.
Just blue skies and hot sunshine. Here in the UK it is freezing with snow and ice,

California should be supplying its own water and draining the Colorado river MUCH less.

Pouring right now in No Cal, think there's still a ridge of high pressure possibly delaying rain down here?, Hope it all won't be as bad as predictied , even up north, great we are getting precipitation anyway, Summer might not be as dry, but still hot of course, not sure what El Nino might bring ( being predicted again for 2023-24 winter) hopefully, not too much drought or rain, maybe a milder one.
