When I listen to music like this is one of the only time I feel real. I feel like I could burst into dust as if I wasn’t there to begin with sometimes.
so I watched a video recently about how forming new habits work, and there was the comparison of one's mind to a forest. when a decision is made for the first time, the going is hard, like cutting through dense bush- but as decisions are made time and time again, the going becomes easier, like a trail being broken. and on walking the same trail again and again, we both make it easier to walk, and we find comfort in walking it. and, as we grow, our mental forest becomes wended with trails and tracks and I feel that this imagery fits quite well with the song- that a deluge can hit, that the seas can rise, that what was once familiar and comfortable can be struck with disaster and chaos. and that this shake from the norm can create permanent change- a river cutting through our once-familiar woodland. a worn path becoming a rushing creek, a new route where there wasn't one before perhaps, when the world is lit with lightning and the sky is roaring its displeasure overhead, and when it feels like the whole ocean is being poured from the clouds, the only thing one can do is hunker down and hope for the best. but perhaps when the skies clear and the sun turns the raindrops on the leaves to diamonds, when the world is quiet and washed clean and sparkling- perhaps it may be time to see if your new river runs with gold.
@@terrafish I was thinking an immortal who's already lived thousands of years and seen canyons and mountains formed and destroyed, seen oceans turn to deserts, stuff like that. They've lived for so long and maybe they're just tired.
@@beekeeper9540 ooh yeah that makes sense too. i love coming up with stories and things for the oh hellos’ songs, they’re really good for just imagining things

Haha, found my old account. Can’t say that feeling isn’t commonplace anymore now, though.
I opened up this video, recognized the song and literally went "Oh, Hello"
: )
oh hello!
Oh, hello!
Oh hello
Oh! Hello!
Oh.. hello!
