This is brilliant! I go back and forth between dual forms and paper forms because I can't decide if I prefer shaping the top or dealing with the thick and rough underside. This fixes both problems!

I know this is old but using an electric nail drill really helps the underside. A couple of mine were super super thick underneath but using the drill made them look normal

Even if they look good and healthy you cant get the length,strength and fun designs like you can without false ones.
I wish I'd seen this when I first started using polygel and dual forms!😥 After the salons were locked down due to c19 last year, I had to do something about my nails, and press ons just never feel secure enough to me. I knew I'd just have to persist with learning how to do gel nails - which I did, but it was a darned steep learning curve! 🙅 I tend to use polygel with full cover gel tips more than dual forms now, but I am going to give this technique a whirl! Brilliantly simple, this interweb thingy is great for learning hacks like this one. Newbie sub here!🙋

I just tried dual forms for the first time and found I was using too much poly gel, ending up with huge thick nails. The next day I decided to try this and it worked well on 1 but not on the other I tried. I wasn't sure if I just got lucky with the one. So happy I found this video because I couldn't find info on other people using this method anywhere online. Now I know I just need to perfect my technique. Yay!
Genius! I usually use hard gel and paper forms because struggle with polygel and was thinking of putting another duo form underneath but this is way better!

Thanks for this video! I love how long the foils last. I can usually re-use 3 if not all 5 of the same foils that I used on my first hand and I've seen them sold in 100-500pc packs! Switching back and forth between local and overseas purchases keeps nail supplies in stock for cheap!
No matter what, my undersides are horrible. I really do not like working with the poly gel. Trying to do my right hand brings anxiety. Now I know why the kit has this paper. Will try this. Ty for showing this part. 💗

I just use tips instead of forms. Your product might be firmer than the brand used in this video , so that when you press it onto your nail the form moves
Honestly this is brilliant...I LOVE IT. And I don't know why people don't like the sound of filing. In so many other videos I've seen creators have to block that noise because it bugs people, but I love the sound. Maybe I'm a weirdo - probably - but this video is fantastic. Thanks!!

Danielle Marion so before you try to put the nail form on, fit it to where the dual form stops and then attach it to your finger. if you put it too much at an angle, then it won’t work but if you do it too high, your nail will lift at the end.

I like it. Because with poly gels, if you put too much on the dual tip, it will bunch up, so with this technique, it would just eliminate that step altogether.

this hack makes my nails come out perfect but for me, i have really curved dual forms so i put the paper form at an angle and it works just fine

If I had nails like yours to begin with, I wouldn’t enhance then with any extensions or overlays at all. You have beautiful natural natural nails.

It's great for runny products :) You don't need this technique for regular polygels :)

Yes!! That is exactly how I do my very wide thumbnails. Never could get the underside right so decided to use a paper form underneath. Glad I did right!!
Wow. This Tut i was searching for. I tryed for first time Polygel. Normally only used Builder Gel. With Polygel it did not work with me, but this Tut is awesome. I guess this will help me out. Thanks for sharing.
