- The presentation explains why Islam is a feminist religion and gives examples of exemplary Muslim women in history who have made great contributions to the world. Passionate about scuba diving and shawarmas, Aabiya is currently a graduate student at UTA in Public Policy. She is originally from Pakistan, grew up in Saudi Arabia and has surprisingly only ridden a camel twice. She hopes to utilize the knowledge she's gaining as a student in the United States by applying it back home and providing tangible solutions to major social welfare issues in her country. She also hopes that people around the globe experience the magical taste of a shawarma just like she has. And any wealth which she acquires, she is not required to spend that on her family, and if she does, it's very commendable. Whether she's single her father has to spend on her, and if he's deceased then her uncles and brothers have to spend on her. And if she's married, her husband has to spend on her. But at the same time, women can't take advantage of that and demand money for anything and everything! In islam, men and women are equally important but are not the same (physically, psychologically etc).

I'm Muslim and I always see women like this try to defend what Islam says about women? If there isn't a problem why do we have to keep defending the inequalities in our culture towards women? It might be the culture but it's religion that's not made our culture evolve.

Religion influences culture- but they are not interchangeable. Look at it like this, America has the largest percentage of Christians. Would you say that American culture is a good representation of Christianity? Would you say Israel and Israeli culture is a good representation of Jewish values??

Religion doesn’t decide what person is or what not is. It’s the person’s own decision and choice.
When a Muslim does something against the Koran it’s their “interpretation” and apologists are happy with this as it seems progressive. However if someone has their own “interpretation” that advocates for violence suddenly they are “twisting” the religion or “using it” to suit their needs. Who is to say that the muslim who has a beard, obeys the 5 pillars and alo engages in jihad and fights the unbelievers is any less muslim than the muslim who is peaceful, doesn’t pray doesn’t give the zakat but hates violence?

In all these examples, no serious Muslim would attach Islam to such ideologies. But in the case of feminism, you find many seemingly "traditional" figures and organizations enthusiastically co-opting feminism and claiming that it is fully "Islamic," even "traditional," etc.

1) They only use these muslim by misleading them by progresive islam, benefit more people on their side.

If you truly believe the role of a woman is beneath a man (subordinate), then your understanding of Islam is flawed and your own insecurities with your male counterparts have made u feel that way. I think OP is well within her right to say that Islam assigns the wife the role of a subordinate (among many other roles) to her husband by virtue of Verse 34 of Surah 4.
The Sahih Intl translation of Verse 4:34 says:
"Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand."
From this, we see that it's reasonable to assume that wives are subordinates of their husbands according the Islamic account.
You can opt for a different, more progressive interpretation of this verse. You're free to do that, but OP is under no obligation to do such a thing, and they can accept the interpretation I provided.

Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them
Men have degree on them because men has the responsiblity of taking care of them and spending many and support them in life matters whereas wives are responsible for the house matters and her kids and in both man must help them becayluse even the prophet was helping his wives and when god say men are superior than women doesnt mean that they control them in their own life choices and beat them if they resist first prophet prohibited hitting on body and head even to kids or boys or men and many stoties and explaination says they get hit on their arm and it is meant for insult and feel guilty and not hurt and the condition that allows that are first the steps should take in order second when the wife disrespect her husbend and dont obey him in spending his money means not to spend much or when she disrespect amf abuse his parents and if she didnt tell him before getting out and in thus point if she did her responsiblity which i said earlier then men has no reason to prevent them to get out or so anything as long as she keeps her hijab or veil and women has the right to divorce or to take her rights from him if he didnt do his responsiblity towards her
The context of both the above ayaahs are looked upon. The first ayah talks about when in the case of divorce, when the women is cheating on the man. Then, if the women is cheating on her kids and her husband, the man has the right to do so to stop her from regreeting later. our Prophet (pbuh) has also said "Give her food when you take food, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do not revile her face, and do not beat her." if youre gonna put a point forward, please be clear about it

I can relate because my mum was effectively married to a polygamist (he was a hippy that believed marriage and monogamy was an outdated institution, he had six kids to 4 women) and my he[my dad] encouraged his kid's mother's to earn their own money and have their own bank account. Work, cook and raise his kids all at once, while he went out to make some more babies and make another women think she was his wife.
