I call them youmans.
I've seen that on their discord and like it myself, but I otherwise am just saying character.
One of my biggest questions has to do with how autonomous the characters will be. I'm a Sims 3 player, and I like to randomize traits, give the Sims high autonomy and just see what they do, stepping in as needed. From Fakegamergirl's videos, it looks like LBY will also have characters who do certain activities autonomously based on their traits which is exciting to me. A lot of people complain about the shoulders - it looks like their arms are too short and they are gunning for a fight, but this is something they assure us they are working on, and it's adjustable. I agree the "base model" needs work so the adjustment isn't as necessary. I'm not a modder, but I think I might give it a try with this game since the tools are so easily accessible. I've willing to give the lack of a cueing system a try, but I bet if they get enough feedback, they'll implement a cueing system. It seems this game will be a slower-paced game timewise, which is probably why they have the option to skip ahead in time for those who get impatient. I'm really looking forward to this game.
ME TOO! I still do that in all my sims games... except 1 and 4. It totally looks like this is doable in LBY!
I know that they've said that they're looking into making a queueing system, it's just not implemented yet I think

They did say that you have to do new textures and stuff in Unity
A few simmers have been given early early access but have only done shorts as of yet, fakegamergirl, satchonsims and a few others I'm blanking on rn. I really like your break down of what weve seen. I've subscribed in hopes you do some more of these in the lead up and when it comes out. I am hoping the queuing system comes at some point, I know from one of the videos rod wanted it to feel closer and more immediate so they were trying to compromise on that with a queuing system 😂 all in all I am so excited for this game and yeah the quest creation seems so fun and I can't wait to see what gameplay mods the community make
yeah their upper arms are way too short and they hold their elbows in a really unnatural way which I think it what pushes the shoulder back/up I REALLY hope they fix this before early access it has been a problem since they first announced it idk what theyre doing
Anyways they had a qna on discord and the biggest bummer for me was that they're not even planning to add apartments atm so I won't be buying it after all until they either add apartments or modders might figure out how to add them
Either way I think this game is still looking really rough I'm curious to see actual gameplay. This game has infinite potential but so far idk if the team will actually rise to the challenge
I think they saved fine-tuning the models really for last, they seem to have concentrated on the world and the character system and all of that before the character aesthetics. But I believe they are working on it now. The queuing system, I kinda understand it because what they are doing at any given moment may change what you want/need them to do next. In their discord some people are calling the characters youmans, and I like that because it sounds the same but we know its related to the game.
Oh, I'm sad for you running out of gameplay that way. I've gone back to Sims 1 and intend to progress through the other Sims games to do all the things I never did. Because there is sooooo much in a lot of the old games that I never did everything.
With the modding videos, I've really done only a cursory look at them because until it is in front of me I'm not going to really understand it as I'm not a modder and have no understanding whatsoever about modding. So I will save that for when I get into it, if I get into it.
Saving the fine tuning until the end makes sense. I've been playing through the scenarios that EA gives us and they aren't too bad. I'm also so sad that I missed the link for the discord! I thought I was already subscribed to get the link and I was not...
