ok, this thumbnail was so convincingly the lo-fi girl that i almost skipped this video. "i'm lookin for that broken picture phone video, where is it in my subscription box???" props to whoever drew it! Edit: amazing job Paul!!
You know when the title is all lowercase and includes words in parentheses that we are about to get Garf Kar levels of hilarity. Merry Christmas everyone!
22:11 As a resident band nerd of the StephenGeorgChannel community, the instrument used for that sound in Sleigh Ride can technically be called a "whip", but it's also common (at least from what I've heard) to call it a "slapstick", because it's two pieces of wood "slapping" together.
Man, an episode this good is the perfect Christmas gift. I have several Memorable Moment suggestions: (4:13-5:04) -- "wow, christmas is here one more time." (5:49-6:42) -- "They're the same image." (8:32-9:31) -- "You knew someone had to draw this!" (17:08-19:03) -- Stephen & Driends.* (24:44-25:29, 25:52-26:32) -- "Evil Mr. Saturn." (35:46-37:08) -- Stephen draws the Muppets... from memory. (*"Viewership has plummeted" feels like a great note to end that on)
In Steven's defense, I thought he was trying to draw the devil guy from Cow and Chicken who never wears clothes. I assumed the other guy was Johnny Bravo.
Alex' picture of S+D made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. I haven't laughed like that in I don't know how long this was an extra great episode. Merry Cristmas you wonderful mad-people
I got some great gifts this year (including the legends of localization book on earthbound which Stephen and Chugga make a cameo in!) and this goes right up there!!
Here's a fun activity for you folks at home: If you know the melody for 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire', trying singing every prompt from book one to the first verse as they come up on screen. I guarantee you'll be entertained for at least ten seconds.
And of COURSE the title comes from Alex. OF COURSE it does.Oh my god Stephen you haven't seen Muppet Christmas Carol? THIS IS A TRAGEDY AND MUST BE FIXED.
An orchestral version of Jingle Bells in minor actually sounds legit like a doom march th-cam.com/video/YFl71h53Q_8/w-d-xo.html (edit) I was a little down on this other version cuz of course playing it slower on a piano would make it sound sad, but I got hand it to the creator cuz it's a lovely composition AND it has lyrics you can sing it to if you look in the description th-cam.com/video/Xc2HRnNnK8o/w-d-xo.html

Everything else stops when a new Broken Picturephone episode pops up. That's the rule.
Alex's howling laugh at Stephen's muppets brought much joy

As the other high-profile resident band nerd of the StephenGeorgChannel community, I can corroborate this information.
And it hurts if you play it wrong

Stephen’s muppets may not be “correct,” but they’re so stylized they could have their own Amazing-World-of-Gumball-style show.
Alex' picture of S+D made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. I haven't laughed like that in I don't know how long this was an extra great episode. Merry Cristmas you wonderful mad-people
Memorable moments suggestions
24:45-26:25 I agree with Emmy.
35:46-36:39 The Muppets Christmas Carol
Can we get some kind of merch of Mal's drawing of Micky reviewing the naughty list? That was so cute
Dan's "world on fire" is amazing.
Alex's "qbert gonzo" made me laugh harder than Alex himself
3:47 Dan is surprisingly good at drawing! Is that a hidden skill of his?
I have not laughed this hard in a long time. Like I couldn't breathe, I was laughing so hard. I needed that tonight. Thank you Stephen and Driends :)
Aww, Dan's dapper frogs on the moon had such cute hats!
Stephen had a lot of Alex energy in his prompts this time.
I got some great gifts this year (including the legends of localization book on earthbound which Stephen and Chugga make a cameo in!) and this goes right up there!!
That was a good 40 minute laugh 😂
(I really want to see more of Stephen’s muppets 👀)
I tried so hard not to burst out into a mad cackle because it is currently almost 2 AM, and I don't want to wake my family. This episode was great!
Sweet mother of God, my face hurts. Merry Christmas, Stephen and Driends.
okay i couldn't stop laughing. and then Stephen's drawing of the muppets just made me completely loose it.
24:53 Count Chocula brags about receiving three pigs and a sword for Christmas to Duke Nukem, who only got a shirt.
Yep. Saw the Chestnut joke coming.

Completely lost it when I saw the title art for "Stephen and Driends."
Merry Christmas, Stephen and Friends :)
This was hyped up a lot on Breakfast Stream, and yet - as I knew full well it would - it doesn't disappoint. Merry belated Christmas.
One thing is for sure, these pictures exist in the universe now. XD
Yup, the instrument that makes whip-crack noises is wooden. I've played one before. Aux percussion is so much fun.
I have not laughed that hard in a VERY long time lmao thanks for such an amazing video
And of COURSE the title comes from Alex. OF COURSE it does.Oh my god Stephen you haven't seen Muppet Christmas Carol? THIS IS A TRAGEDY AND MUST BE FIXED.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a mutant wolf goblin bandit thing.
That grendel trying to steal the t shirt makes this amazing
The end of the first book needs to be the start of a future broken picturephone book.
Props to them not mentioning to poor colorblind Thomas that pigs aren't usually greenish. Well, except on Angry Birds.
The prophecy is fulfilled. Stephen has watched Muppet Christmas Carol
3:20. Huh, That's what those are called.
Memorable Moment I Guess?
Disney review channel for next April first?
Merry Holidays to all of you.
Is it sad that when you tweeted the rejected thumbnail, I instantly knew it was going to be Muppets related?!
Marry Christmas! I liked already cuz I know I'll like it
Oh man. I'd totally be the guy to refer to mistletoe as "devil's fuge."
Wishing there was a “Johnny Bravo Christmas” book.
for a minute i thought alex's muppet picture was a real screencap and i was VERY confused.
Well this is a pleasant surprise
The wrapping paper with the green, red, and cake looks like the Portugese flag.
Stephen obviously watches his Lofi Study Beats in like 144p. XD
*Whip Crack SFX* only makes me think of Johnny Test.
So did Stephen get nuts for Christmas again this year?
What kind of dog is kraemer? He looks like mine
emmy’s right that one mickey mouse is just kh1 shirtless mickey
Stephens 22:10 She got A beard?!
