Question about getting started proces with 2FA: Sometimes sites mention a recovery key, sometimes they don't. Do you know any plugin that saves the QR code picture, so i can re-associate another phone in the future?
Hi, you can either use a secondary smartphone and export your authenticator settings or make a screenshot using the snipping tool for example (WIN + SHIFT + S) and save that directly inside of the corresponding entry. Remember though that if someone gets into your KeePass database, he or she will be able to get into your accounts like that and 2FA won't be able to help you out here. Hope that helps! :)
You can just open your phone camera to read the QR code, and you should have the option of copying the string that way. Type that into Keepass. Once you have the string in Keepass, you can open your phone authenticator app and scan the QR again to add it to the authenticator.

Do you mean how to paste information from it? Copy and paste will be the easiest. You should be able to use auto-type as well, but inconsistent form field might lead to errors here, which is why I'd suggest to paste manually here.

I am surprised you did not recommend any of the three/four backup plugins, which I find as essential and necessary for any database since fault tolerance is part of data storage
Since I use a dedicated backup workflow for all my files and also have a video on that, I didn't mention any of that in this video. I don't think you need a plugin for this, as you can simply copy your database to a safe place every now and then using a batch script and FreeFileSync for example. I had quite many merging conflicts in the past by the way but never saw a corrupted KeePass database.
Hello, and thank you a great video! Everytime I start working on my job, I need to login to 5 specific URL´s in Chrome. I have been playing with autologin (ctrl+Alt+A). and also the "override default sequence", to make sure the login works. Is there any way KeePass 2 can make my browser auto-open and auto login into all 5 URL-pages, by just typing ctrl+Alt+A once? I was thinking something like a long sequence of {TAB}{Username}{password}, etc. etc. and then maybe some kind of CTRL+T, to open a new browser, and then login to that, and repeat for all 5 browsers? :)
I don't think this is currently possible in KeePass. You can work on the same library with multiple people but since there is no user management, you won't be able to see who made the changes. I'd suggest to create separate databases instead of auditing people for compliance. KeePass isn't the best solution for collaboration (yet). Perhaps someone will come up with a plugin for this in the future.
Thanks for the info. I've been using Keepass natively for a long time. Is sharing the database on a share between me and my wife a realistic and more importantly safe option? Is one of the fileshares better than others for sharing between family members? I put keepass on my wife's phone and laptop but they're separate as she's not very technical.
Hi, if you follow the video in this KeePass guide overview I have created on my website, you should be safe for good: www.valentinkossenko.com/keepass-password-manager/#How_To_Sync_KeePass_Across_All_Your_Devices Sharing a database is also not a problem in my opinion, as long as you follow the recommendations I make in my video on how to sync a database between multiple devices. The most important things are: 2FA for your cloud storage account (both accounts if you're sharing a single folder with your database of course), a dedicated key file for your KeePass database (that is never uploaded to your cloud storage but instead transferred to every single device using a cable) and a strong master password that has a decent length. I talk about all of that in the video I have linked above. Hope that helps! If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know!
Hi @ anyone that can help. At 4:15 minutes, Keepass has "List View" for the password information in the bottom left corner. Mine shows as a long line, rather than a list like in the video. Also this video has a "Notes" box in bottom left and "Attachment" box in the bottom right corner. How do I get that look please? "View> Window Layout> Side by Side" does give me that list view, but at the top pane next to passwords. I want it at the bottom like this video. Can anyone help with that please?

This looks awesome, but oldies like me can't see what you're clicking on sometimes, would be grateful if you didn't tilt it too much. All in all, thank you for your answer and all your hard work in creating the videos. They're a great help.
I tried the QuickSearch plugin and noticed 1) Github repository is archived and no longer maintained. 2) In KeePass 2.54 it works initially but fails to return search result after consecutive runs (doesn't work after reboot)
Oh, that is quite unfortunate. I haven't looked into many of these as I have switched to a different version of KeePass, which works better on my Macbook. Thanks for your comment though!

Hi Noah! I found this on the KeePass website: "If you enable the 'Limit to Single Instance' option, at most one KeePass instance can be running at a time. If you try to start a second KeePass instance, it is immediately terminated, and the first instance is brought to the foreground." Hope that helps!

@@StrongNoah Exactly. You'll be able to open the KeePass database with an iOS app like KeePassium for example. I have a tutorial for that on my channel too!
You could use the Kee plugin for this, which you can also find on the KeePass website under plugin downloads. You will have to install KeePassRPC along with it for it to work. I don't think it is necessary though, as you can always just use the autotype feature that is built into the native version of KeePass and gives you a good amount of protection if you use the two-channel autotype obfuscation.

@@pedro_narciso Hi, your English is great, don't worry! :) I'd suggest to save passwords manually inside of KeePass and add only the info you need like URL if you're using the URL in Title Bar browser plugin for example and so on. The mobile apps like KeePass2Android do have functions to save inside of your database semi-automatically but on a PC you'll probably be faster saving manually anyways. Hope that helps!

That sounds like something you could do with an AutoHotKey script. If there's enough interest, I might create a video on that topic.

I don't think this is possible. KeePass will only run if your system is fully booted as far as I know.
