@@IamnotShawn777 My logic was this: every single question is an airframe recognition question that did not theoretically require knowledge of the airline. CRJ 700 and CRJ 550 are the same airframe. Therefore neither should be the correct answer. Of course I get trolled.
Really shows I need to improve aircraft identification knowledge. For example, I didn't even know there was something called ceo, I only knew neo. Thanks for posting this
17/20. The a340 tripped me from the picture used 😭. I also don’t have much knowledge about the 767 variants. And I thought the 737 was the -700 since it looked shorter than the usual -800 rahh
I knew it was the 200 variant because the livery is the one used by the french air force squadron "Esterel" they used to operate a few a340-200 back in the days
This is an actually GOOD commercial aviation quiz. I've been looking for decent aviation quizzes for a while now and this is the best so far! Fortunately, I only missed one; the B717 got me (thought it was an MD80).
I thought the B717 was rebranded from the original DC-9 after Boeing bought MD, and the MD-80/90 series was based on stretch versions of the DC-9...but I could be wrong
It gets really difficult when you have to tell derivatives apart. Like the 190 E2 versus the 195 E2, just a few rows difference. Not being able to see the Delta 717's engines clearly made it a tad bit harder. And stuff like the 767 derivatives.
Quite impressed with how far I've gotten. I've gotten to learn a bit more about civilian aviation, though. My greatest knowledge is about military aviation.
hey shawn i know you have grown as a youtube as in subs and views but I want to know do you remember me from your old videos when you had less than 100 It has been amazing seeing you grow keep up the great work
I almost assumed it was a CRJ-200 just because it was in the older livery, where most CRJ-700's strike me as newer in AA's fleet and they generally are. The angle made the size difference seem kind of hard to see.
The first 10 are pretty easy, there are some tricky ones here in 11 to 20 where you have to choose the variant all within the same type...Number 3 was kind of a trick question (or picture)....Delta doesn't currently have any 777's, but they have had 777's in the past (18 of them).
got 19/20 because I thought it was a Max-8 due to the under sharklets, and yes I touch grass it's just I'm very fascinated about planes and would like to become a flight engineer.
Does walking barefoot on grass count as touching grass? Because I don’t always have time to put on shoes when rushing outside to see an epic plane before it’s gone. Plus I don’t always get a good view of certain flights when standing on pavement either, my house and trees get in the way!
I can Id all airbus and Boeing widebodies , and most of the narrow bodies even from Inside the cabin . But the regional jets threw me off and the Russian jet I did not expect .
split scimitars is the 737-800, the max is normal split winglets, the picture is to purposely confuse you, since I found out many people are mixing these 2
The split winglet is also an option on the NG. You can see it's an NG, because the engines aren't the new LEAP engines with the points at the rear of the engine, it's just straight. The MAX has the same type of pointy engine the 787 has

those specific models (e.g. -200) rlly messed me up. ggs
I actually have a bigger complaint about 15 (why is CRJ 550 an option when CRJ 700 is the right answer?)
3 gave me flashbacks to when delta was still using the 777-200s
@@maxxiong Although they look similar, but American airlines actually does not own the CRJ550

i almost picked MD-80 bc B717 is based off the MD-80 models before MD merged with Boeing
Also the main difference is the engines, bigger on the 717 but the wing in that picture blocks the engine.
