    Hi, Qreative. I've seen your response towards the missing hatch feature in AC21 and I was wondering if you were able to figure the silhouette of the curtain wall around the stairs. I managed to get the trapeze right but I wasn't able to make it right when it came to the stairs thru the 3d window edition. Thanks again

    • @VIA-studio
      @VIA-studio  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you go into the toolbar-menu (my last video) you have a list of all available functions of archicad. and there is also the the "Define Curtain-Wall with Hatch" function. You can add that to a custom-toolbar. And it works perfectly. I still don't know why you won't find the function in the Deisgn-Menu anymore.

    Qual o melhor softwere de modelagem 3d para você??? Archicad ou SketchUp e quais as diferenças???

    • @VIA-studio
      @VIA-studio  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can't compare Sketchup with Archicad. Sketchup is made for modelling only. Archicad is made for Architecture. Only the Morph-tool in Archicad can do the same things, that Sketchup can do and even more (Boole operations, organic architecture, pipes, overlays...). You can do these things in Sketchup only with a bunch of Plug-Ins. I use Sketchup when I want to create a quick piece of furniture or a kitchen for example. And I use the 3D warehouse a lot. I think simple, quick modelling is faster in Sketchup, if it's not architecture. I like to use both of them ;)

    • @TheWalkerlima
      @TheWalkerlima 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      this explains a lot, well do you know how can i do this on the AC21?

    • @VIA-studio
      @VIA-studio  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I've asked GRAPHISOFT exactely the same question some weeks ago and they answered: "Cutting a curtain wall in a section with the help of a hatch has become obsolete because you can now change the shape of a curtain wall in the 3D Window." Theoretically I know how it works, but every time I tried, it didn't work. I guess it's still buggy. There are a lot of mistakes in AC21.

    Great video! In the part where you modify the curtain wall into the fill, you use a button that I can't find on Archicad 21 (at 1:14). Is there an alternative way to do that?

    • @VIA-studio
      @VIA-studio  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! Thank you. It's tricky, because Graphisoft did hide that button in 21 and 22. But it's still there.You have to add it to a toolbar. th-cam.com/video/U7c2eXsSWh8/w-d-xo.html Here you can see how to do that. So you can sort the list of all orders by name. The english name is "Redefine curtain with fill" or something similar. I guess you are using the Norwegian version according to your name. So don't ask me how it's called :D But you will find it there!

There are three types of boole operations: in this case I used division. You first select the morph that should divide mass from another morph. Then you choose the Operation and finally you click on the morph, whose mass should stay, but will be divided by the other morph. It doesnt matter if you do it in 2D or 3D. Please make a slower version. It is super helpful!

      you can set down the speed of the video. Set it to 0.25 and you have the original speed. But if you like narrated videos in real time, there is a series of videos coming up called "photoshop for architect". I'm working on it right now. Maybe the first episode will be released this or next week.
