I love how saying all the bad stuff Steve Harvey has done didn't do anything for me but as soon a s he said "he has a pez dispenser head" I immediately thought that would probably get to him
"Don't kill people" is not a common sense morale, since human beings are incredibly territorial, violent, and warlike, and apart from Chimpanzees, we are the MOST warlike of all the great apes. We also used to have gods that were dedicated to war and violence, like Odin, Thor, and Mars.
I had a weird ass uber driver like that once in California. Was about a year ago when there was that hurricane in texas. Guy tried telling me that north korea was controlling the weather so they would send troops to texas and leave the west coast open to attack
Super religious people spook me too fam. I'm religious myself and believe all the Noah's Ark and Adam and Eve junk. I get that some things are figurative and some things aren't but sometimes it's hard to figure that shit out cause of the years of monks not knowing how to read and taking the Bible from one language to another. Honestly it's mostly just morals and stuff for the most part. Don't be a dick to your family/people in general. That kinda stuff. The Bible is supposed to be about forgiveness and respect and love but a lot of people (especially those in Christianity itself) tend to not follow it. The Bible is meant to be interpreted but the number one message is about that forgiveness stuff ya? Like, there are homosexual Christian's like me and several others. Some Christian's think it's a sin, some think just the act of having sex without the means of reproduction is a sin, some think it's natural because God made us this way. I personally think it's because God made me this way.
The most religious people I know are some of the biggest assholes. My wifes family are insane, I'm glad I got her out of that literal hell hole. Ironic
Leviticus 18 and 20 Chapter 18 verse 22. "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." Chapter 20 verse 13.
I love how the extremely religious tend to use someone's homosexuality as an excuse to treat people like shit, when the Bible says to love thy neighbor.
I don't think it ever specified whether the animals in noah's ark were caged or not. People just assumed they ran freee. That and there is of course the obvious answer of the tale being passed on so many times the original message or even story mutates or is forgotten, like the telephone game. Like modern Christianity has all but forgotten about who lilith is or what angels were supposed to look like.
It's not that non-believers can't be moral. It shouldn't take a genius to figure out that hurting others for no reason is morally incorrect. The problem is that they can't *justify* why some things are 'good' and why some things are 'bad'.
It's pretty much an agreed upon concept that without divine authority, all morality is relative, which is where the "non-religious people are immoral" argument comes from. If you disagree, let me point you in the direction of eugenics, which is an atheist belief in the morality of forced sterilization and proactive culling of children with defects or abnormalities.
Hahaha my mum is like that she is like believe in Christ or your AI..... ? And since I’m a fan of chris’ toons I showed her Leo and Satan.. she did *not* like it. My mum is uh crazy, help.
I'm not even Christian, and I cant say anything that would change their mind all that much, but damn, they have so many misconceptions about the bible and christianity.
Why is it always entertaining to see people that clearly don't know Bible try and argue the fallacies in the Bible. Almost as cringe as the people that think they know their Bible and try to defend it despite clearly not knowing what they're saying.
I always thought of God not as a guy who chills out in the sky and sets shit on fire for fun, but as a general sense and feeling of direction, or instinct. I'm skeptical of many Bible stories, but in the end I believe they are meant to be interpreted, and what you see in it is your religion. I believe in a grand designer who does all the things people can't understand, and is not a person, But a feeling
That guy probably thought oh I feel the Holy Spirit and God is telling me to convert this random guy into loving Christ. It’s sad how religion makes people into total nut jobs, because they’re so desperate to want God to give them a sign.
The reason the animals didnt tear each other apart is because God was working in the background making the impossible happen. All things are possible thru him.
If God makes the impossible happen then why didn't he make all human beings good so he didn't have to drown everyone like the vindictive asshole that he is? Almost like that whole shitty book was made up.
@@TaRAAASHBAGS almost as if the entire point of Genesis is showing how God gave free will to people, not forcing them to do what he wanted. Almost as if you really don't know anything of the Bible and just want to argue from a point of ignorance.
