I replaced a few of my stands cables with cahin as well. I then put a used bike innertube ove the chain and Zip tied it on. Made it quieter. Not sure how long the tubw will last though.

Put heat shrink over the chain works great

What about the strap that holds it to tree? Need to replace it also. Every year if you leave out year round.
