Demasoni is one of the my favourite mbuna ciclid but they are pretty aggressive and territorial. I give them a lot of hiding places to reduce their aggression futhermore today video is perfect.Thank you❤❤
Wow perfect info dude was seriously thinking of stocking a few in my 40 gallon breeder. But 👀 now probably be best to wait for a tank upgrade love the family channel dude Keep it up 💯💪🏿
I got Gus in 2010. I had no idea how aggressive he was. He was just a tiny tiny baby. Such a little cutie. He growed up to be a 4" terrorist. He was bullied by Marge, a full sized yellow lab i had. Marge would seek the eency weency Gus, and flush him out and speed all around after him!!! Then Gus matured, and realized he could stand his ground and chase back... which chase he did!!! Gus was merely 3" at this point, Marge a hefty 4"+ and Gus would then chase Marge all around. At full size and maturity, Gus had the thickest little head with the chubbiest little cheeks!!!! He looked very tough for such a little fish. Gus passed in 2022, which I can only surmise was from his old age, because otherwise he was an industructable terminator!!!! RIP Gus - the Demasoni from hell.
I have two Demasoni but I don't find them that aggressive. My most aggressive is the Pseudotropheus socolofi. Also what are your guys thoughts on the Electric Blue Jack Dempsey? Just to clarify, not to be kept with African cichlids.
I have in my aquarium two Tropheus duboisi, two Red Zebra Pseudotropheus, two Pseudotropheus demasoni, two Labidochromis species yellow, two Melanochromis johanni, two Ancistrus spec., one albino Labeo frenatus, one Rainbow Shark Epalzeorhynchus frenatus, one Hoplosternum thoracathum, and one Albino Corydoras aeneus. One of the Labidochromis species yellow is the most aggressive, even towards the two Pseudotropheus demasoni. The two Pseudotropheus demasoni are very peaceful. I have a 180-liter aquarium.
How many mbuna do you recommend for a 60 gallon?? Owner of a fish store said I should have at least 60 before they’re grown… I have 22 total 4 of them are demasoni. Is he right or is he just trying to sale me 38 fish lol😅?
Hello, I have 36 gallon bow front tank. I know it’s on the smaller side. I have a total of 5 fish; 3 yellow labs, 1 mixed cichlid, and 1 demasoni. The tank has Texas holy rock. It looks beautiful but I wish I could add more demasoni. Even with lots of hiding places I have not had luck adding more of them. Any suggestions?
My mbuna johanni killed my lil catfish and attacks any other mbuna that don't look like them I only had 2 but they were stressing my big tank with other so put them with their own 40 gallon with a juvy cat fish and 2 other mbunas they killed 1 other is in a separation box with no tail😮

I’ve had these guys and I’ve never had much issue. Although I’ve never kept them in smaller than a 150 so that could be a factor
What are the yellow fish ?
Wait, you're suggesting that demasoni are more aggressive than Petrotilapias or Melanochromis chipokae? Hmm ...
