    A true Toyota, or even a Lexus fanatic, would cry "It's not a true self-charging hybrid", but with this sort of performance, one stops caring and falls in love with this car.

    This is a marvelous piece of engineering but I don't see how it is worth $20k more than the non-hybrid Turbo S. At $4/Gal and 20 MPG that's about a 100,000 miles of driving and a lot fewer headaches. Personally, I like the looks of the standard body over the coupe.

    Drive the base model 2019 of normal base Cayenne compare to previous one that I had-2016- huge difference in terms of power. I rarely switch to S or S+ mode becuase I do not need it, the normal mode..... my god so much power! Don't get me wrong I love power under my right foot but base model gets you where you want no hesitation. Coupe is not my taste.

    Seems silly to me. If you want a sports car buy one, but an SUV with all that mass is at best a compromise. If one is restricted to one vehicle only and you can afford it, maybe, but I prefer to have a Boxster S and a standard engine BMW X5 or X3 for less money.

      While I really like a pure sports car, some people need more space.I went with a wagon and have no regrets.

    I'd rather pick my dream Ferrari FF to be honest, M. They are in that same price range nowadays and just as practical-ish as a Cayenne Coupe.
    If a new car in the same segment is a must, I'd wait for the upcoming X6 M to be honest. Sure there's a 45-70hp power deficit, but its not worth the extra 80-90k.
    As always, excellent work M.

    Anyone who would buy the coupe version of a cayenne has more money than sense, why would you want to reduce the scope of utility of an SUV? If you don't need the cargo space then why buy an SUV over a sedan, especially if you want performance?

  • @Tony-ob2ts
    @Tony-ob2ts 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would take the coupe though it is much more money vs value. Base model or S is plenty for an SUV, however I would add air suspension and rear wheel steering.

    • @billiebleach7889
      @billiebleach7889 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Air suspension needs electricity to function....and I guess electricity needs to be preserved in a hybrid vehicle.

    $193k?!?!? I have a friend and his wife that own the previous gen Cayenne and they chose the turbo 6 GTS mainly to keep them from accumulating too many tickets. Could they afford this car? Yes. Would they actually spend the money on a nearly $200k "baby buggy"? Not a chance.
