Ethan Doig is one of the sickest drummers ever.. his foot work is insane man.. ive never seen anything like it.. hands down my favorite on this video Eugene.. all the drummers are unique in their own way but Ethan just straight killed it man.. another great video bro..as always, you rule Eugene !! The foot technique does get a lot of attention, lol. Although, I'm certainly not the only drummer to have figured out those mechanics. Check out Robin Stone - awesome drummer.
6:01 Seem to be low-volume acoustic cymbals with fully electronic shells.
Perhaps he uses stereo overheads for the cymbals and the rest goes straight into the interface.

You are correct - 2 matched Rode NT5s as main overheads, plus a Shure M3 close mic under the ride.

Это турецкие тарелки Agean. Они абсолютно акустические просто пониженной громкости. У меня такие для небольших помещений и что б музыканты не глохли. Очень хорошо звучат но довольно дорогие.

I've never seen double strokes done like that before in Ethan's video. Very strange looking, but whatever works.

Agean Regular R Low Noise Series cymbals definitely not electronic cymbals. Hands down the best sounding low volume cymbals made that are actually B20 bronze. Killer drumming on that video.

at 6:32, I usually call this the high heel toe because of the position

How in the wide world of sports to you do double stroked like that? I guess it's a new technique; 'toe-toe'.
Lol, it IS a bit unusual - just what my body picked up when I taught myself doubles.
I have a Short on my channel going into a little more detail, and check out Robin Stone - amazing drummer who uses the same technique.
14:50 I play traditional blast with 2 feet from 140 bpm onwards, because I can't play single strokes above that tempos. For 16th notes I use double strokes even that slow
